For more than five weeks from 27 February 2023, Room XX hosts the 52nd session of the UN Human Rights Council.

At the end of his mission in New York, Human Rights Council President @FVillegasARG conveyed to Secretary-General @antonioguterres the need to strengthen the fundamental role of human rights in all the work and activities of the @UN.
Speaking in New York, the Human Rights Council-mandated expert on #HumanRights & #ClimateChange, Ian Fry (@SRclimatechange), said climate change is the greatest threat we face.
"And the poorest countries are paying the highest price," he said.
