मुज़फ्फरनगर में मजदूरों की बंधुआ मजदूरी का मामला बेहद चौंकाने वाला है।

बिना मज़दूरी दिए काम करवाने के अलावा, मजदूरों को कुत्तों से कटवाया गया, भाले से गोदा गया, कोड़े मारे गए, और उन्हें मवेशियों का चारा खिलाया गया। यह इंसानी गरिमा पर हमला है - पीड़ितों को न्याय के साथ पुनर्वास और दोषियों को कड़ी से कड़ी सजा मिलनी चाहिए।

साथ ही हमें यह भी पूछना ज़रूरी है कि मज़दूर ऐसी खतरनाक परिस्थितियों में किन मजबूरियों में फंस जाते हैं।

जब रोज़गार ख़त्म हो जाते हैं, आमदनी ठहर जाती है, और सबसे कमज़ोर वर्गों के लिए बने मनरेगा और श्रम कानूनों जैसी सुरक्षाएं कमज़ोर कर दी जाती हैं, तो हताशा बढ़ती जाती है। जिन लोगों के पास कोई और विकल्प या सुरक्षा नहीं होती, वो ऐसे शोषण का आसान शिकार बन जाते हैं।

यह कोई आम आपराधिक घटना नहीं है - यह एक धराशाई हुई अर्थव्यवस्था का मलबा है।

Spent 10 incredible days in Kashmir & Ladakh.

While travelling, camping & hiking in the mountains, we made only wonderful memories & left no trash behind to add to the mountains’ burden.

We collected all the waste we generated each day, carried it with us in garbage bags & disposed of it only at designated collection points\bins only. #CarryMeBack

#ResponsibleTourism is the need of the hour, it is no longer a choice.

The Himalayas are very beautiful & too fragile to bear the burden of human negligence.

also revered as Bhaderkashi भद्र’काशी’, is a calm, serene, and scenic valley nestled in the Himalayas of the Jammu region.

The traditional ‘Mani Mahesh Kailash’ Chhari Yatra starts from Bhaderwah, and every year, the native devotees of Bhaderwah follow this generations-old tradition and proceed to the sacred ‘Mani Mahesh in large numbers. This signifies that these ancestral mountain routes carry a rich cultural and spiritual heritage.

Struggle and resistance are not everyone’s cup of tea… but it’s surprising that the “Rosogolla রসগোল্লা” turned bitter this time.

Those leaders (MPs) who were provoking their cadre to assault workers of the BJ Party barely a month ago are now dancing to the tunes of that very same party. And the BJ Party, which accused these leaders of killing its workers on communal grounds, is now ready to embrace that bag full of MPs.

No principles, no ideology…

Principles and ideological rhetoric seem to exist only to befool workers and voters, while leaders collapse under a little pressure and big money offered by those in power.

This has happened in #Maharashtra, #Punjab #Himachal #Assam and other states too. But it is saddening that it is now happening on the land known for fighting long ideological and philosophical battles #WestBengal.

@INCIndia Leaders like @DKShivakumar , @Pawankhera , @UdayBhanuIYC ….. & for instance even leaders of @AAPDelhi were put under immense pressure by central investigative agencies and even sent to jail. But they fought their legal, social, and political battles and never bowed down.

While @AAPPunjab @BhagwantMann did same to @SukhpalKhaira @bsmajithia .

Still one common thread in all these episodes is the BJ Party — where ‘POWER, by Any Means’, has become the new ideology.
