2026 only begins in february according to the chinese calendar. january is nothing but a slow transition + warm up.

this is the year of trusting instinct rather than asking permission from the logical brain. the year of a burning internal fire that cannot be fizzled out unless you run. you'll feel compelled to take on what scares you without much prior thinking, which might feel insane at first, but that's the whole point. trust the impulses that come from the soul.

a fire horse year comes with momentum that burns hesitation out of the body. motion is medicine. embrace it.

Reading books isn't consumerism, no matter how many you read. And it is the opposite of anti-intellectual.

You'd be surprised how easy it is to read 30 books a year if you put your phone down more.

honestly can confirm this. i got heavily into reading again when i was doing my masters and of course it was a classics dive so alongside multiple academic papers, those works definitely shaped some quips i’ve ended up forming when it comes to my personal style of writing
