Her name is Patricia Narayan.
She was born in Nagercoil, Tamil Nadu.
At the age of seventeen, she married a man against her family’s wishes, and for that decision she was disowned.
Within months, she discovered that her husband was addicted to alcohol and drugs, and that he was abusive.
About a year into the marriage, with two young children to protect, she walked away and returned to her father’s home.
She was barely eighteen.
She had no degree and almost no money.
What she did have was a talent for cooking.
She borrowed a small amount from her mother, began making jams and pickles at home, and sold them locally.
The response gave her hope.
On June 21, 1982, she opened a small food cart on Chennai’s Marina Beach.
On the first day, she sold just one cup of coffee for fifty paise.
The very next day, she sold snacks worth six to seven hundred rupees.
She kept going.
Over the years, the small cart grew into a catering business serving office canteens and feeding hundreds of people every day.
Life tested her again.
Her husband died.
Later, her daughter and son in law were killed in a road accident.
She carried on despite the loss.
In memory of her daughter, she opened a chain of restaurants and named it after her.
Today, the chain has around fourteen outlets and employs more than two hundred people.
In 2010, the woman who once sold a single cup of coffee on a beach was named India’s Woman Entrepreneur of the Year.
Follow for stories India deserves to remember.

✨ MYTH BUSTING MONDAY ✨
❌ Myth: Bloating is always just a digestion issue.
✅ Fact: Persistent bloating that continues for weeks should never be ignored. It can sometimes be an important warning sign of ovarian cancer. Early awareness can save lives. 💙🎗️
Bharat is a land of seekers. Even when the so-called Divine entities came, people asked them a thousand questions. This is the only culture on the planet where you can even question God because here, authority is not the Truth; Truth is the only authority.

Only a Hindu baby shower ceremony is so beautiful and makes the to- be mother feel so special
The extra large snacks symbolize abundance, prosperity, and enough for the mother and child 🧡🧡🧡
My open letter to TN chief minister Joseph Vijay in the current issue of Thuglak magazine in Tamil translated and published by Republic world https://t.co/VJIJnaI2VS
Experiences with Maha Periyava: Periyava resolves the issue amicably
There were two brothers, inheriting their ancestral land, the northern and southern portions, which had to be divided between the two of them. The southern portion was more fertile and yielded more while the northern one was less productive. Both wanted the southern portion and there was a quarrel over the division of the land.
Neither would give in and the quarrel worsened. Both refused to come to any kind of compromise, like drawing lots or something like that. The younger brother wielded clout locally and so he got a band ready to support his claim over the southern portion.
Suddenly one day, Periyava went to that village in the dead of the night and lay down on the pyol of the elder brother’s house. No one was aware of this. That night, the younger brother came with some of his henchmen who wielded scythes, and on reaching the house of his elder brother was shocked to see Periyava’s palanquin near the house. Periyava was seated on the pyol.
Summoning the man closer, Periyava asked, “Who are these with you?”
The man was stunned and stood speechless in fear. Then sending word to their agent, Periyava asked him what the matter was.
After listening to the whole story, Periyava said, “Listen! You can take the whole of it, the northern and southern portions. Take everything. I will take care of your elder brother. It does not matter that he gets nothing . . .”
The man fell down in prostration and said, “I don’t need a share at all, Periyava . . .
What does it matter, northern and southern portions . . .”
“Then why these scythes? Come, slice my neck off, come on, here it is….”
Then Periyava called the two brothers and said, “Take what you want of the land.”
The elder one said, “Let my brother take what he wants, Periyava.”
The younger one said, “I am ready to go by whatever my elder brother says.”
The whole thing fizzled out to nothing at all!

DEEPLY UNSETTLING !
Watching Tamil Actor Ravi Mohan break down so publicly was deeply unsettling.
"I am a quiet person. So, everyone thinks I am weak.I am quitting acting until I get my divorce. I am being prevented from meeting my own children"
"To this day, I do not have a single personal bank account. I had only one joint account.Even if I withdrew a small amount, I would get an immediate call asking why I took the money"
Whenever there is a marital dispute, society almost instantly assumes that only the woman is suffering. But relationships are complicated, painful, and emotionally devastating for everyone involved.
Men are human too. They have emotions, fears, anxieties, and breaking points. They can also go through mental trauma, loneliness, emotional harassment, separation from children, public humiliation, and silent depression.
Supporting women and acknowledging women’s pain is absolutely important. But empathy cannot be selective. Compassion cannot become gender specific.
The way many people mocked, judged, and targeted Ravi Mohan without even pausing to understand his emotional state is honestly worrying.
A man crying in public should not become entertainment.A father speaking about emotional pain should not become a meme.
Sometimes the strongest thing a man does is to admit that he is hurt.
