Kester Goes To Church Last Friday, @BitcoinAnambra rounded up her @MyfirstBitcoin_ Bitcoin Diploma Course, and we held the graduation ceremony right here on X. During the event, we celebrated the top 5 best-performing students based on their assignment results and do they got Sats for their performance. After the graduation, one of our students, @akinadepeter2, invited me to his church. He wanted me to come talk to his church members about Bitcoin, to help them see the same potential he had just discovered. He said something that struck me: “I want the people closest to me to learn what I’ve just learned. This course has completely changed the way I think about money.” At first, I was skeptical. I knew I’d be talking about money, and in a church setting, many people might think: “Money is the root of all evil.” But the truth is, it’s not money itself — it’s the love of money that is the root of all evil. Eventually, I accepted the invitation. And after a long time away, Bitcoin brought me back to church. What I Spoke About I shared three important points with them: • The Evolution of Money Money has never remained the same throughout history. It keeps evolving. • The Future of Money Just as we no longer use cowries or beads, our grandchildren and great-grandchildren may not be familiar with paper money (fiat currency). • Bringing Back the Savings Culture In Nigeria, we’ve lost our savings culture. The Naira keeps losing value daily, so people spend as soon as they get paid — subconsciously knowing prices will rise tomorrow. I didn’t tell anyone to buy Bitcoin. Instead, I encouraged them to study Bitcoin — because only by understanding it can they truly see its potential. I’m looking forward to seeing what @akinadepeter2 will build in the ecosystem.
