If one day, we are all allowed to put our troubles on a table and exchange them. I'm sure that after some time, everyone will silently take back their own and leave the table.๐๐๐ฆ๐ง
1. Former Accountant General Ahmed Idris was charged with diverting โฆ109.5 billion.
2. Former Minister of Power Saleh Mamman has been convicted over the criminal diversion of โฆ33.8 billion.
3. Former Attorney General Abubakar Malami has forfeited 48 properties worth โฆ212 billion.
4. Malami is also facing a 16-count charge of conspiracy and money laundering involving an alleged โฆ8.7 billion, alongside his wife and one of his sons.
5. Just imagine, among the assets forfeited by Malami was a mosque in Kebbi State built with proceeds of illicit wealth. He doesn't have the fear of Almighty Allah.
6. Former CBN Governor Godwin Emefiele is facing multiple criminal prosecutions over diversion of โฆ154.39 billion.
7. Emefiele has also forfeited 753 housing units to the Federal Government.
How this nation continues to survive such monumental looting across virtually every sector is mind-blowing. Until we fundamentally overhaul our criminal justice system and impose severe penalties for grand corruption, public office will remain an irresistible gateway for those who treat the public treasury as a private vault, while ordinary Nigerians continue to bear the brunt.
I INDEPENDENTLY SEARCHED NIGERIA'S BUDGET DOCUMENTS FROM 2019 TO THE PRESENT. HERE IS WHAT I FOUND ABOUT THE PFIPC SCANDAL THAT NOBODY IS TALKING ABOUT.
THE NAME DID NOT COME FROM NOWHERE
Everyone is focused on Adeyemi the man. Nobody has gone back to ask where the name "Presidential Economic Advisory Council" actually came from. I did. And the answer changes this entire story.
The Presidential Economic Advisory Council is not a Tinubu creation. Tinubu's economic body is called the Presidential Economic Coordination Council. He established it in March 2024, inaugurated it in July 2024, and chairs it himself alongside Dangote, Elumelu, the Senate President and the Governors Forum Chairman. It has a different name, a different structure and a different budget code.
The Presidential Economic Advisory Council is a creation of Buhari. Buhari established it in September 2019 to replace the Economic Management Team that Osinbajo was heading. It had real named members. Prof. Doyin Salami as chairman. Charles Soludo. Bismark Rewane. Eight economists reporting directly to the President with a defined mandate and a legal institutional identity.
When Tinubu came in and created the PECC in 2024, the Buhari-era PEAC was never formally dissolved. No gazette removing it. No Budget Office circular revoking its institutional identity. It simply went dormant. But dormant in Nigeria's government system is not the same as deleted.
That dormant status is exactly what was exploited.
I have a couple of friends within and outside Nigeria that are now fond of sharing every bad news about Nigeria with me especially from Instablog, Tunde Ednut and few others all in a bid to question my support for the President.
My response has been the same and quite effective.
- Where was your message when Nigeria recently eliminated the number 2 of ISWAP (globally) in addition to over 100 members in a collaboration with the US?
- โ Where was your message every time reports come out that thousands of terrorists have been eliminated in the Northeast by the military?
- โ Where was your message when Nigeriaโs economy was listed among the highest growing economies in the world ahead of many of your favorite nations?
- โ Where was your message when students celebrated 3 years of no ASUU strike due to increased funding and the students loan?
- โ Where was your message when several citizens were celebrating improved infrastructural investments across the 36 states of the federation?
- โ Where was your message when state governors were praising the President for increased allocation which has stopped them from borrowing and helped pay salaries on time?
- โ Where was your message when Nigeria was removed from IMF list of debtors?
- โ Where was your message when companies that used to declare losses started declaring excess profits all over the place?
- โ Where was your message when Nigeria became a net exporter of petroleum products compared to years when we were the import king?
- โ Where was your message when leading credit rating companies started upgrading Nigeriaโs rating after many decades?
- โ Where was your message when people were praising Tunji Ojo for making our passport applications easier than it has ever been in the country?
Why is it that you only remember to message me when bad things happen in the country? Have you been waiting for this opportunity simply because you didnโt like that choice of 2023?
Again, let nobody gaslight you ahead of 2027 due to recent developments that now sounds politically motivated. They have a right to focus on the criticisms and bad news while you have a right to focus on the positive ones while hoping for the best going forward.
It is a fight between those who want to take us back in time to the corrupt days when subsidy payments on fuel and forex ruled the economy.
A fight between those who just want their kinsman to become the President without any solid capacity and one that has proven overtime to be effective.
Their concerns must be duly noted but never get gaslighted by their claims on your choice. Come 2027, the only choice is to remain focused and return the one that has done the hard job which other presidents have ran away from simply because they want to win elections.
We will be there cos it will happen ๐.
OBIDIENTS, THE NORTHERN REALITY, AND POLITICAL AMNESIA: IGNORING THE LESSONS OF 2023.
Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it. A case of Peter Obi and his followers.
One thing you must both pray for and learn quickly when venturing into politics is wisdom; how to think, how to strategize and how to play the game intelligently.
Looking back at the 2023 election, when @PeterObi emerged as the presidential candidate of the @NgLabour, he faced a major obstacle that nearly derailed his candidacy; the issue of selecting a running mate became intense.
As we all know, it was politically impractical for him to pick a fellow southerner, so the search had to be focused on the North.
The process of finding a suitable northern running mate dragged on for nearly two months. Several prominent figures were approached, including Attahiru Jega, former INEC Chairman; Mohammed Hayatu-Deen, a former PDP presidential aspirant; Mukhtar Shagari, former Deputy Governor of Sokoto State; Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso; and others.
Among them, @KwankwasoRM was the only one who made his position immediately clear, he declined the offer and instead suggested Obi should consider being his own running mate.
The others initially showed interest, expressing enthusiasm and promising to get back within a few days. However, as time went on, most of them returned often after a week to decline the offer.
Datti Baba-Ahmed, who was one of the last to be approached, followed a similar pattern at first.
This pattern of rejections highlighted the difficulty Obiโs team faced in securing a northern running mate. As the deadline for submission approached, it became increasingly clear that the situation was critical. With no confirmed running mate in place, the late Dr. Doyin Okupe had to step in as a placeholder to meet the requirement, pending when a substantive candidate from the North would agree.
Amidst this uncertainty, a concerned northern insider reportedly hinted that, given the prevailing political dynamics and the individuals involved, Obi might struggle to secure a northern running mate that if at all he will find one.
This development led Obi and his team to consult former Pres Olusegun Obasanjo. After reviewing the list of individuals already approached, Obasanjo reportedly advised that Datti Baba-Ahmed would be the most suitable choice.
Shortly after this meeting, Obasanjo embarked on a series of consultations across the North visiting Niger State to meet Ibrahim Babangida, Abuja to meet General Aliyu Gusau, and Kaduna to meet Hakeem Baba-Ahmed, Dattiโs elder brother. Within days of these engagements, Datti Baba-Ahmed who had earlier rejected the offer agreed to join Obi as his running mate and subsequently declared for the Labour Party.
Fast forward to the present, and the same northern political landscape is being portrayed differently, suggesting that Obi could secure broad northern backing against figures like @atiku, with even talk of Kwankwaso as a potential running mate. Yet, some supporters appear to overlook the complexities and challenges that previously existed.
Politics is a continuous learning process. If you fail to understand and learn from your past challenges, progress becomes difficult.
I even tweeted yesterday and I stand by it that if Obi were to emerge again as the presidential candidate of @ADCNig, I would mobilize support and vote for him. I said that fully aware of the realities, knowing firsthand how difficult it was for him to secure even a vice-presidential candidate from the North, let alone expect a seamless path to broader northern endorsement.
That is the reality of politics, hard lessons, tough negotiations and the constant need for strategic thinking.
Each time an election comes closer, you will see an upsurge in daring terror attacks that were never experienced earlier in the North. That canโt be a coincidence.Thereโs no name attached to it,but by their statements after every attack, you can fish them out.Playing the terror Chess cards with the aim of politically benefiting from it is one of the most tragic and devilish political strategy by the enablers and perpetrators. They are burning the farm in order to own the land.
"Let me say it again, Makinde, the current governor of Oyo State has an agenda to remove the Olubadan of Ibadan land, whether it will stay, whether it will happen or not is another story."

So This Happened (EP 385) reviews: Leadership crisis deepens in ADC as INEC removes David Mark, Aregbesola
The African Democratic Congress (ADC) is facing a major leadership crisis after INEC removed the names of David Mark and Rauf Aregbesola from its official records following a court order.
The dispute stems from a power struggle within the party, with Vice National Chairman Nafiu Bala Gombe challenging the leadership transition and declaring himself acting chairman. With both factions at odds and the court yet to decide, the party is currently left without a recognised leadership ahead of the 2027 elections.

INEC Chairman on why the decision was made to revalidate voter cards: The decision to revalidate the voter register was taken even before I became INEC Chairman. Our records show we have about 93 million voters, which is inaccurate. This is the measure used locally and internationally to decide whether our election is credible or not. Oh โvoter apathy, the turnout is low.โ
Nobody is stopping you from shutting down the country the way Tinubu did during GEJ.
But you canโt do it. And I will tell you why.
The shutdown of 2012 was the voice of Tinubu and the hand of America. It was only possible because it was an American intelligence psychological operation. Even GEJ warned you that time: America will know.
America is not interested in regime change in your country this time. Thatโs why opposition candidates are not receiving American support or funds this time, except the ones being funded to oppose to the opposition.
Nigerians celebrities are not receiving American money this time, including musicians to sing that kind of song Flavour sang in 2012, and the likes of Banky W for their relentless advocacy.
The Civil Society Groups, including the Bring Back Our Girls, are not receiving money for any meaningful protest time. Influencers like Omojuwa as well, instead are actively supporting the current government.
Rather than doing stupid comparisons, why not accept first that your country is being run by foreign powers. That way you can plan properly, and when you do summon the courage to shutdown the country, you will know exactly why you are shutting it down.
Two Irishmen with no oil or gas experience.
Got a Nigerian gas contract in 2010.
Built nothing.
Then sued Nigeria for breaking the deal.
Won $6.6 billion in a secret London court.
Interest was adding $1.3 million every single day.
Total bill hit $11 billion.
That is 10 times Nigeriaโs health budget.
The woman who signed the contract on Nigeriaโs behalf?
She was promised a cut of the $11 billion.
Not one Nigerian official in jail.

2027: THE NORTHโS BIGGEST POLITICAL MISTAKE COULD COST THEM 8 YEARS.
A hunter who abandons a path he already knows, simply because another appears shorter often ends up lost in the forest, with nothing to show but regret.
That is exactly the kind of gamble some political actors are proposing today.
If the North chooses to play that careless game and turns its back on Bola Ahmed Tinubu in favor of another Southerner, it will not be strategy, it will be outright self-sabotage. Power will not magically return to the North in 2031. Instead, it will be pushed further to 2035, after that new Southern president completes two full terms.
That is not politics. That is miscalculation at the highest level.
Politics is not driven by emotions, social media noise or wishful thinking. It is a cold, calculated game of timing, alliances and long-term positioning and right now, too many people are approaching it like amateurs.
@atiku understands this reality better than most. His urgency toward 2027 is no coincidence; it is a reflection of political timing. He knows this represents his last credible window at the presidency.
Miss it and the entire northern support structure he depends on risks fragmentation, especially as power naturally rotates back to the North with fresh contenders emerging from within the region where many Northerners will jostle for power.
At that point, the system resets. Alliances shift. New power blocs form. And he could find himself chasing shadows particularly in the South, where his political footing is already limited.
Granting him that opportunity is not just a political calculation, it carries the risk of sidelining other young northern presidential ambitions within the ruling structure for years to come.
The choice, therefore, is straightforward; enable that outcome or decisively reject it not just for the sake of vibrant and ambitious northerners.
Then comes the even more questionable proposition associated with Peter Obi and Rotimi Amaechi, the suggestion that they could win in 2027 and voluntarily step aside after just four years.
That is not strategy. It is a convenient illusion.
Power does not operate on such assumptions. No one fights their way to the top with a pre-arranged plan to relinquish it halfway.
Political history offers little to no evidence to support that idea.
For Obi in particular, time is not on his side,it is a ticking clock. If Tinubu completes a second term and power shifts North, by the time it rotates back to the South, the window may have effectively closed on his ambitions at going to 80yeaars. What we are witnessing is not just political urgency,it is a final roll of the dice.
And for anyone still unsure how power truly behaves, consider Fmr Pres Obasanjo.
Even after reaching the constitutional limit, there were efforts to extend tenure. That alone underscores a fundamental truth; power is rarely surrendered willingly.
Strip away the noise,the propaganda, the emotional appeals, and the carefully crafted narratives and one reality becomes clear;
Everyone is trying to outmaneuver the system.
But they are all confronting one central obstacle.
Like him or not, Tinubu remains the most significant force in this equation.
He is not merely another contender; he is the incumbent with structural advantage, political depth and a firm grip on the levers of power.
As it stands, all indicators point toward a strong re-election with highest possibility.
The real question then, is not what others are plotting.
It is this:
What will you point to as your own contribution as a stakeholder in his government to his re-election as President from your state and from your zone?
NO FULANI HAS EVER RULED KWARA BERORE AS GOVERNOR SINCE CREATION OF THE STATE.
For decades, there have been these misconceptions about the ethnic origin of past and present civilian Governors of Kwara State. Some are deliberate misinformation, others are sheer ignorance laced with arrogance.
I decided to do this research in the light of a viral Facebook post about the ethnic origin of Senator Saliu Mustapha (the rumoured APC consensus candidate for 2027 governorship, who himself is Yoruba 100% by the way but this is a story for another day because this post isn't about him at all)
Now, let's clear this issue once and for all. All the information supplied here are facts based. Anyone who has a superior fact should counter it or rest finally!
The following are civilian Governors of Kwara over the years since the creation of the state and their ethnicities.
Adamu Atta - IGALA (now in KOGI) - 1979
Cornelius Olatunji Adebayob - ISIN LGA, IGBOMINA, YORUBA - 1983
Salaudeen Olatinwo - OFFA LGA, IBOLO, YORUBA - 1985
Shaaba Lafiaji - LAFIAGI LGA, NUPE - 1992
Alabi Lawal Omo'laderin - AFONJA, YORUBA, ILORIN - 1999
Bukola Saraki - YORUBA, ILORIN - 2003
Abdulfatah Ahmed - IFELODUN LGA, IGBOMINA, YORUBA - 2011
Abdulrazaq Abdulrahman - YORUBA, ADEWOLE OLOGBIN, ILORIN WEST - 2019
So, why are people getting themselves worked up? Yes, Ilorin (not the whole of Kwara State) is being ruled by a Fulani traditional ruler, but Kwara political leadership since the creation of the state till date has been DOMINATED by the YORUBA of Kwara, and of ILORIN!
I challenge anyone with a contrary view to come forth and let a factual, responsible debate begin!
