Who else noticed what Messi did when the game got hard?

He noticed that Egypt kept the middle of the pitch compact and almost impenetrable, he then moved to the wing and hugged the touchline. Then he did his thing from there. They obviously cannot all free up the middle and move to the wing to stop him there.

There are some things you can't coach Messi on. He already knows what is happening on the pitch.

Be gracious in defeat. Saying this while the World Cup is ongoing, right after your team got knocked out, is borderline disrespectful to the dozens of competing nations, hundreds of competing footballers, and 10s of millions of fans watching.

The FIFA World Cup is football’s holy grail. There is nothing comparable to it, and it’s okay that you couldn’t win it; every nation needs a combination of luck and collective effort to do so. However, to turn around and diminish a tournament you stayed active for, to play in at 41 is not exactly a good thing to do for a legend of the game.
