Nah, the market should be able to show some love to FCMB. Really strong numbers. The valuation is sooo attractive too.

Just that, for some reason I don't fully understand, the market does not seem to rate FCMB one bit. It is possible that the market may be unconvinced by the bank's asset quality. The impairment in Q2 is one of those pointers.

The only thing I love about this business is its crown jewel, CDL. They also have a relatively strong legacy asset management and investment banking franchise, but CDL is the only attraction for me.

(Btw, if FCMB is doing an annualised ₦280bn, I can only imagine what my baby, Wema Bank, will cook for me😚😚😚😚😊😊).
