🇱🇧HEZBOLLAH THREATENS ISRAEL - stating they may end the ceasefire and return to attacks on Israel. ( This is happening literally as Lebanon and Israel are negotiation peace and withdrawal in Rome, which officials described as “very positive”. )

🇸🇾SYRIAN REGIME CAPTURES HEZBOLLAH MISSILES? The Syrian regime claims to have thwarted an attempt to smuggle advanced weapons and missiles from Iraq, which were intended to be transferred to Hezbollah in Lebanon. They were found inside a fuel tanker truck.

♦️GAZA - Four Hamas weapon depots were destroyed in IDF strikes in the central Gaza Strip overnight. The facilities had been used by Hamas to store assault rifles, RPGs, grenades, explosive devices, and other military equipment.

▪️PM’s TRIP TO THE US DELAYED - apparently because Senator Graham’s funeral won’t be until the end of the month.

▪️YESTERDAY’s REPORT OF TERROR SHOOTING AT MA’ALEH LEVONA - Three Israelis who arrived near the settlement were reportedly practicing shooting in a nearby quarry, which triggered an alert due to the sound of gunfire and the confirmed sighting of weapons.

Two combat helicopters and a Zik (attack aircraft) had already begun the process of targeting a vehicle fleeing the area, preparing to attack the suspected individuals. Moments before the attack, a force approached the vehicle and identified that it contained Israelis, and the attack was halted.

▪️PUBLIC BROADCASTING and ELECTION POLITICS - A commitment letter to “support strengthening public broadcasting”, referencing Gaalei Tzahal radio and public TV channels, was signed by The Democrats and Meretz candidates.

The silliness here is that Israel has some of the highest use of WhatsApp and Telegram channels, and Facebook groups, in the world per capita, plus cable channels, and fiber-TV providers. The publicly funded channels mostly serve as tax funded training grounds for journalists with particular leanings.

▪️HIGH COURT HALTS - implementation of the law that would pause the detention of haredi draft avoiders. Paused pending a High Court hearing with an extended panel of judges.

▪️WEIRD HAREDI POLITICS - UTJ’s MK Gafni, a senior experienced haredi politician, informed the coalition that until the government resolution regarding ultra-Orthodox preschools is passed, United Torah Judaism will not vote on the bill to split the role and responsibilities of the Attorney General.

This self destructive move, for probably the 5th time in this coalition, prevents the government from having more control over the justice system - - which has been preventing laws and political moves to help the Haredim.

Statement from coalition party Religious Zionism: “The AG quickly sent a bouquet of flowers to MK Gafni, as he granted her immunity, protected her judicial dictatorship, and allows her to continue harassing the right-wing bloc.”

In the end, the coalition quickly voted to give a raise to kindergarten teachers, and the haredi parties supported the Attorney General role separation law.

▪️ATTORNEY GENERAL ROLE SEPARATION LAW - passes in the Knesset. This separates the prosecutorial powers from the government legal advisory powers, and makes the advisory role advisory, instead of binding. Further, the AG will no longer be able to argue in the court against the governments positions.

Even some opposition MK’s supported the law.

▪️WEIRD END-OF-COALITION POLITICS - The govt is trying to pass various coalition friendly politically supporting legislation, in the last week of the coalition before vacation then election season.

The govt wants to pass a new Metropolitan Authorities Law, which is intended to significantly improve public transportation by giving cities authority to arrange their transportation needs themselves.

But reports said haredi groups were lobbying against due to concerns some cities will arrange public transportation on Shabbat, following by a haredi party MK saying that there is no such concern. So ???

▪️ELECTION POLITICS - HELPING THE OTHER SIDE - MK Hajaj from the Israeli-Bedouin party Ra’am gave a campaign speech in which he stated: “This right wing govt is destroying illegal construction (in Arab communities, where it is frequent), there is no Arab (Israeli) village where they have not demolished a house. This didn’t happen under the (previous) Bennett govt!”

He also stated that Eiskenkot of Yashar will not be able to form a coalition without support of Arab (Israeli) parties.

Otzma Yehudit and Religious Zionism will likely take this video and use it in their campaign ads.

An Israeli military official: “The refueling aircraft are a strategic asset for the United States in the region, and they are an integral part of the joint preparedness against Iran. ▪️POLITICAL INTERFERENCE - District Court Judge Ron Solkin in Lod reveals: two months before the elections for the 21st Knesset, the prosecution urged the police to gather evidence against Michael Ben-Ari, which was used to disqualify him from elections.

During the criminal investigation opened against Ben-Ari a year and a half later, the prosecution, which is not an investigative body, drafted the questions for the police investigation and effectively managed it.

He is being prosecuted since 2024 on ‘incitement to racism’ for high profile statements against Arab Israelis.

Senior Iranian Official: "Iran has a plan to invade Jordan through Iraq." ( Assumably to reach and capture the U.S. air bases in Jordan, although this also puts them in range of Israel. However, the air bases are in central Jordan, not eastern Jordan, so not so realistic. )

.. 🇰🇼🇧🇭KUWAIT and BAHRAIN UNDER ATTACK - missiles and drones from Iran within the past hour.

.. 🇺🇸US PAUSES REFUELER WITHDRAWAL, and MORE ARRIVE - it was previously announced that the majority of US arial refueling planes would depart Ben Gurion airport, due to space concerns and its impact on civilian aviation. That plan has been suspended due to the escalation with Iran, and refuelers are flighting out of Ben Gurion nightly to supply attacking US aircraft.

The Min. Of Transport is worried this will affect thousands of Israelis attempting to travel.

Related, 4 additional refuelers arrived that were previously at Gulf States airbases. Moving them to Israel puts them out of Iran’s short range missiles and drones.

Israel says: no more refuelers, creating too much congestion, demand the Min. Of Defense relocate them to Israeli air bases.

Minister submitted a pardon request to the President for Elor Azaria, a soldier who was convicted of shooting a wounded terrorist who was on the ground disabled, and was convicted of manslaughter. “This sends a negative message to our sons and daughters who are sent to face danger and serve in combat units and in dangerous places. 📺MAP - the Persian Gulf, with US arial refuelers during the extensive US attacks last night.

.. Overnight summary:

The US bragged of ‘completing a 5 hour wave of strikes against Iranian military targets’, with reports of significant strikes in Bushehr among many other sites, and particular targeting of Iranian fast-attack navy boats.

Iran fired missiles at Jordan, Bahrain, and the UAE, as well as hitting 2 oil supertankers attempting to transit the Strait of Hormuz. A hit was reported at the air base in Jordan.

Trump: 'I think it's possible to reach an agreement.’

The US embassy in the UAE has paused services ‘due to the security situation’, and reports of alarms at the US Embassy compound in Baghdad overnight.

To understand mindset, here’s the Revolutionary Guard’s public statement from this morning:

“In the second phase of the second wave of Operation Victory 2, under the slogan ‘Oh, for the vengeance of Hussein (peace be upon him),’ the fighters of the Revolutionary Guard's naval and aerospace forces launched a missile and drone attack on the Fifth Fleet of the Great Satan in Bahrain, in response to the crimes of the murderous American army. This resulted in the ignition of fuel tanks in the fleet, the damage and destruction of a Patriot radar, an air control radar belonging to the fleet, and an early warning radar system of the SeaRAM type. The control and monitoring center for unmanned vessels was also destroyed.

The retaliatory operations are ongoing.”

▪️KFAR CHASS - SAMARIA - In the middle of the night, a group of 100 young Breslev hassidim rushed into this Samaria Arab village, to enter the tomb complex of the biblical leaders Joshua bin Nun and Caleb ben Yefuneh, protesting the lack of regular access to this holy site. ( The IDF provides quarterly secured guarded overnight access to the site. )

The Arab residents responded to their presence with a hail of stones. Two were injured.

▪️BASIC LAW - TORAH STUDY - passes in the Knesset. The Core Declaration: It officially enshrines Torah study as a "foundational value" of the Jewish people and the State of Israel.

Additions that would have equated Torah study with military service were removed, as was a ‘balance’ clause to make it ‘in balance with other fundamental values of the State’.

Therefore, the law makes a moral statement but has no defined service value. Even so, the Movement for Quality Government in Israel filed petitions with the High Court, arguing that the law is a political maneuver (true, but so is much of legislation) designed to institutionalize discrimination and circumvent judicial rulings on IDF enlistment.

🔥US - IRAN ATTACKS GROWING, SITUATIONAL ANALYSIS, and IT’S THE JOOOOOS - Mon late morning July 13 🅸🆂🆁🅰️🅴🅻 🄽🄾🅆 HEADLINES

🇺🇸🇺🇸v 🇮🇷🇮🇷

.. ANALYSIS - Tit-for-tat is growing more fierce. The U.S. has moved to heavier military degradation of Iran. They continue for now to focus on Iran’s regime and military capabilities, perhaps with the belief they can degrade the regime sufficiently for revolution or more flexible leaders to arise.

Iran, however, prepared for this approach with very wide dispersal of their capabilities. It is also noteworthy that Iran keeps attacking Iraqi Kurdish sites, as the Kurds post a real threat of ground invasion.

Iran to date has limited their response to attacking U.S. sites in Gulf countries, attempting to cause U.S. pain by military deaths and destruction, and by closing the Strait, causing world economic pain and higher gas prices in the U.S.

What we don’t see.. yet: The U.S. is not doing major damage to Iranian infrastructure, neither their oil industry nor general economic damage (such as factories, roads, trains, electric, water). And Iran is not targeting Gulf State oil industry, though it is all within range of their drones and short range missiles. Nor have they fired at Israel.

Prediction: The Iranian regime will not submit, as we see from Gaza and Hezbollah in Lebanon, they would rather sit in rubble. The U.S. may accommodate, though gradually over time. However, the Iranians can cause a lot more damage first.

.. 🇮🇷 - IRAN THREATENS ISRAEL LAST NIGHT - "Tonight, we will avenge Khamenei's blood." ( There was no attack from Iran to Israel last night. )

.. 🇮🇷 - IRAN DECLARES A NATIONAL STATE OF EMERGENCY.

.. 🇺🇸 - WIDE RANGING U.S. ATTACKS THROUGHOUT IRAN - overnight and into this morning, and moving beyond the coastal regions deeper into Iran, including Qeshm, Sirik, Bandar Abbas, Jask, Bushehr, Khandab, Bandar Mahshahr, Behbahan, Andimeshk, Dezful, Ahvaz, Abadan, Khorramshahr.

▪️ILLEGAL ARAB WORKERS - Police arrested 74 illegal Arab men living in a single set of apartments in Elad. Will the employers of these illegal workers, who could instantly become a security threat, be sanctioned?

Facts: The IDF is approx. 200,000 active duty soldiers, of which around 75,000 are combat roles. Emergency reserve service can add up to 500,000 soldiers, but is currently operating at around 70,000.

Due to the need for select roles, particularly combat, many reservists have served for almost a year over the past 3 years of war - versus a normal 1 month service per year.

.. Related: The Knesset is approving the extension of mandatory service by +2 months to cover shortages, and an immediate post-service +2 months of “paid reserve duty”.

▪️COMBAT TRAUMA - The Knesset just passed the "Combat Trauma" law. For the first time, the law provides an official definition of combat trauma in legislation, which will grant them legal status and recognize the unique characteristics of this type of injury, and funds rehabilitation services for it.

President Trump: “Senator Lindsey Graham, one of the greatest people and Senators I have ever known, is dead! He was always working, and was a true American Patriot. Lindsey will be greatly missed!!!”

PM Netanyahu: “Sara and I, are deeply saddened by the loss of our dear friend, Senator Lindsey Graham.

🇸🇾PIPELINE TO AVOID IRAN - Iraq, Syria, and the US are planning to rebuild a 500-mile oil pipeline from Kirkuk to Baniyas, on the Syrian coast of the Mediterranean, o reduce reliance on energy routes through the Strait of Hormuz. However, it will take 2 years.

🇴🇲OMAN - DIVIDE THE STRAIT - (Oman is the country opposite Iran at the Strait of Hormuz) Oman has proposed dividing shipping routes in the Strait of Hormuz into two routes: A southern route passing through Omani territorial waters, where normal, free passage would be permitted, and a northern route passing through Iranian territorial waters, which would require prior approval from Iran but without transit fees.

🇹🇷TURKEY STOPPED A KURDISH INVASION OF IRAN - Kurdish militias, equipped by the United States and Israel, were prepared to attack, but the operation was halted by the US due to Turkish pressure. Israeli sources: Vice President Vance leaked information to Ankara, and Foreign Minister Fidan warned Rubio.

🇩🇪The upper house of the German parliament has approved a bill that defines the denial of Israel's right to exist or calls for its destruction as a criminal offense, with a potential penalty of up to five years in prison.

▪️WHAT HAPPENS IF THE IDF GETS WHAT THEY ASKED FOR? Haredi channels are reporting, the Jerusalem faction plans to arrive at the police station with hundreds of draft avoiding yeshiva students at the start of the summer break, accompanied by lawyers. This move is intended to demonstrate to the High Court that the army is not prepared to draft masses of haredi individuals, and that all the sanctions are only intended to harm the haredi community.
