Husband is mowing the lawn, so for the next 3 days he'll be saying, "Wow, the yard looks so much better. Doesn't that look better? It needed it."
Sometimes I say it first, and he glows a little.
.@LindseyGrahamSC was a relentless voice for a strong national defense, for freedom globally, and for the defense of allies. He was an encouragement to me personally. And I am saddened and frankly angry by this sudden loss.
We better pass his Russia sanctions bill asap.
President Donald Trump is transitioning the GOP into a pro-choice party, step by step. To understand why this is happening, a historical corrective is in order.
"Why did the first Trump administration produce an unprecedented number of pro-life policies, while the second has sought to sideline the pro-life agenda? Who was primarily responsible for pro-life access and pro-life appointments? Many rank-and-file pro-lifers erroneously believe it was Donald Trump."
I spoke with former Vice President Mike Pence, @marctshort, and many others for this essay in @firstthingsmag:

Fine, I’ll piss some people off:
The “Fix” must be proper discipline for violating the rules. I get it, it’s cool as hell, but when you allow these things to slide, everyone starts thinking their dumb idea will slide, too, and soon you get a flurry of the dumbest ideas possible being executed.
It ends in fireballs, mass casualties, congressional inquiries & days of news cycles.
They don’t need to lose their flight status or go to jail, but they do need to be an example of what not to do…not an example that says the rules don’t actually apply.
I love this profile of Tony. I'd love to see more lifestyle profiles of great Americans who work regular jobs, don't come from generational wealth and are contributing to society.

I think it’s more a reflection of a lack of optimism about the future that feels concerning. I’m also not worried about it, years ago people were told not to have children because they thought we wouldn’t produce enough food. They were very wrong. We’re living through a technological revolution where we’re relearning how to maintain our humanity, there’s been a dip in fertility in this new era of prosperity, it doesn’t mean it’s staying forever. Screaming at people about existential crises has never really worked in any situation to bring about change, and certainly never through government policies. And if you’re a Christian, you rest in the idea that none of this has surprised God. We’re literally told that each day has enough trouble of its own.
Because all human life matters. Shutting down bridges, climbing dangerous heights to bring her back from the brink. We must remember this in less obvious spaces too. All life is worth fighting for, on bridges, in ultrasounds, under heart wrenching diagnoses.
@bryan_johnson I don’t care who you are I love seeing people do the work on endo. Surgeries are gnarly, MRI is much easier on the body to get initial diagnosis. I lucked out with a surgeon who caught it on MRI (but only after two other surgeons missed it).
Bad guys often agree with your politics.
We need more people voting in primaries who think a person’s qualifications to hold a position of public trust include more than angry vitriol directed at our political opponents.
Character matters. Vote like it.
Heartwarming:
A non-unionized company that's one of the country's top importers and delivers great returns for shareholders as the beating heart of American consumerism pays its workers well for entirely market-based reasons.
