FEED INGREDIENT MISTAKES LIVESTOCK FARMERS SHOULD KNOW

1. Rice bran in non ruminant feed
2. PKC in poultry feed
3. Too much of wheat offal in small ruminants
4. Low amount of calcium in feed
5. Improper grinding of feed for poultry starters and snail

6. Do not over feed, at grower stage, commercial layers are not to be fed heavily to avoid excess abdominal fat which will hinder egg production. 120g - 130g of feed is enough for a bird on daily routine.

Commercial layer bird farming, has little differences from broiler farming, I will list some common errors made by newbies

1. Be sure of the age of birds given so as to know when your first lay of egg will drop

2. Learn how to formulate your feed, it helps to reduce cost
