"Gas-burning plants are usually the fastest and easiest to build."
@HirokoTabuchi This is patently false. Especially if this is a true off-grid project, eliminating the need for an interconnection wait, large solar+storage is faster AND cheaper.

@FlixBus_NA hello, I am on route 2605, which departed from NYC at 6:30am. The bus has no wifi - we are about to make the first stop in Philadelphia, can the wifi issue be addressed here?
@NYCMayor I would love to know how many of the haters here also hold POTUS responsible for the January 6th attack on American democracy and assaults on law enforcement. He surely set THAT tone.
The Department of Energy’s Loan Programs Office, which once was responsible for deploying $400 billion, is now fighting for its future on multiple fronts.

The Senate reconciliation bill, with its harsh phase out of solar and wind, and continued support for geothermal, nuclear, and batteries, has Chris Wright’s intellectual fingerprints all over it
@RepRileyNY@housescience@RepRileyNY you make me proud to be NY-born and raised. Thank you for your excellent questions exposing the ignorance and deception of fossil fuel-funded hacks.

@CharDreizen how clean do glass bottles of cooking oil need to be to be recyclable in DC? Even if I add hot water and dish soap and give it a shake, I figure there may still be a bit of residue left - does that make the entire bottle unfit for recycling?
@CharDreizen Grease is okay? That's news to me! I'm in DC and always cut the greasy parts off the cardboard before recycling the rest, thanks for the tip!
@ayanaeliza Thank you for your comment in @nytimes about caring about "other people on the planet" besides one's children. I am childfree by choice, and have dedicated my life career to climate policy and action. I still want to be a "part of getting it as right as possible."

@karaswisher Given your prior better relationships with him, Musk takes that as betrayal. Lashing out at @donlemon struck me as a very personal kind of reaction, as have been his untoward words about you
I'm working on a bill to create a bottle deposit program in the District; I was happy to hear support for it from witnesses. DPW's Office of Waste Diversion is on the right track, but we need big changes to make a meaningful difference in our waste stream and clean up our rivers.
