Newly recovered records show that that Tommy Tucker, a former North Carolina Republican politician and now an appointed member of the NC Utilities Commission, enjoyed all-expenses-paid junkets to Scottsdale, Nashville and Washington D.C. to attend conferences of the Regulators Roundtable, a big oil lobby industry group.

Tucker failed to disclose any of the trips in his state financial disclosures, as required under state law.

Tucker, who has no personal or professional experience in the energy sector, had his full travel and expenses paid for by GOPAC, the major Republican political organization with close ties to the oil and coal industry.
