Extremely bitter rivalry as a top 6 matchup on the first day of March won on a buzzer beater by a senior known for his effort and leadership. With Dick Vitale on the call. How can you not be romantic about college basketball?
I've had plenty of games where I've criticized officials and disagreed with peers in the business who seem allergic to discussing the seriousness of the issue.
But officiating did not decide this game. #Vols were sloppy, out-schemed and outplayed. And lost a very winnable game.
I have watched 7 games today. 3 have gone to OT. 6 have been decided by 1 score. The other was the freaking Red River Rivalry.
You were right @JoshPateCFB I will never go apple picking
I still have high hopes for the Vols and Nico this year, and if not this year then next year. But what I know is that if we’d lost tonight, or if we were 0-6, I’d still be wearing my orange every day this week because it’s BAMA WEEK BABY GB FREAKING O
I understand being frustrated by underperformance, but there’s a difference between that and being quick to give up on your team and its players and coaches. It’s sad to see how many Vols fans fall into the latter camp.
Admittedly a desperation play, but #vols fans, if any of you remember this guy from the Bama game last year and want to help get him to the Third Saturday this year for less than the $400 price on resale tickets, hit me up. I am a college student and can’t afford all that.

@ctsykes13@CapstoneCowboy In fairness I did do that for the game. I just figured since the whiteout wasn’t mandatory (plenty of people in crimson, and some in yellow in the section) there was no need to try to be deceptive. I had tickets, and color themes are fun but have never been mandatory.
@BamaSportsball Yessir! Grew up just outside of Knoxville. Now that I go to Bama I root for them in every game unless they’re playing the Vols. It’s an interesting line to walk.
