Dear brother Adnan,
I believe quotes like this can be misleading, especially in the current climate and without context. Yes, Imam Ibn Taymiyya (r.h) was firm against the Shi’a, but he has an explicit ‘fatwa’ specifically regarding those who prefer Christians and Jews over the Shi’a. I think this fatwa of his is more applicable to follow in the current situation since it is quite specific. Please consider the following, which I am quoting from his ‘Al-Fatawa Al-Kubra’. I don’t have access to my books, but the text is available online or as a PDF, so you can double check it.
“He (Imam Ibn Taymiyya) was asked about a man who prefers the Jews and Christians over the Rāfiḍa (a Shi‘a sect).
He replied: Praise be to Allah. Everyone who believes in what Muhammad (ﷺ) brought is better than everyone who disbelieves in him, even if the believer has some type of innovation — whether it be the innovation of the Khawārij, the Shi‘a, the Murji’ah, the Qadariyyah, or others. For indeed, the Jews and Christians are disbelievers with a disbelief known necessarily in the religion of Islam. As for the innovator, if he assumes that he agrees with the Messenger (ﷺ) and does not oppose him, he is not a disbeliever in him. And even if it were assumed that he falls into disbelief, his disbelief would not be like the disbelief of one who outright denies the Messenger (ﷺ).” (End quote)
I believe this is profound. Since the Shi’a believe in Al-Habib ﷺ, preference should be given to them, as stated by Shaykh Al-Islam.
A resident of #Abkhazia, Timur Agrba, has been sentenced in #Russia to 5.5 years for allegedly justifying terrorism after posting content portraying Chechen militant leader Shamil Basayev in a “heroic” light. In Russia, Basayev is seen as a terrorist, while in Abkhazia some regard him as a hero for fighting on the Abkhaz side in the 1992–93 war.

@WerteInitiative All die genannten Punkte können gesondert berücksichtigt werden, sie ändern aber nichts an der Tatsache, dass die Aussage Steinmeiers zum völkerrechtswidrigen Angriffskrieg auf den Iran zutreffend ist.
