We had also paid extra for seat selection on our original booking, which was completely ignored. Additionally, we missed our onward flights within India and incurred significant rebooking costs.
Shockingly, a 7-year-old child was seated away from her parents. Despite repeated requests, no effort was made to keep our family together and the staff response was dismissive and rude.
Instead of helping a family of 7 (including 3 children), both airlines initially shifted responsibility to each other.
After 36+ hours of travel, we were rebooked 10 hours later and assigned scattered middle seats throughout the aircraft.

This route is an important corridor connecting Mahasamund with Raipur. Many passengers use it to reach Raipur Airport, railway stations, hospitals and workplaces.
A delay of 30+ minutes can mean missed flights, missed trains and significant economic loss.
As visible from the photographs, heavy vehicles, buses, cars, two-wheelers and commercial traffic became trapped from all sides.
A crossing built to improve traffic flow was rendered ineffective due to a few irresponsible drivers.
The primary cause of the jam was the unnecessary occupation of both lanes by private buses, including vehicles bearing registration numbers:

Instead of following lane discipline, they blocked movement for vehicles coming from multiple directions.
