The central issue is not simply whether AI should be slowed down.

It is who gets access, who gets restricted, who gets exempted and who gets to decide.

The question is not only:

How do we control powerful AI?

It is:

Who controls the controllers?

The real question is not whether AI needs governance.

It probably does.

The real question is whether the organisations that created the race should also become the permanent gatekeepers of the race.
