I took the boys and teachers to the Italian Parliament building in Rome, which is equivalent to the National Assembly in Nigeria.
The boys asked why everyone was walking freely and why the police were being so nice to us.
I told them that what you see in Nigerian government offices is Third World behavior.
If you’re leading your people well, nobody will want to kill you.
If we forget the kids in the bush, the young girls will become terrorist wives, the young boys will be indoctrinated into terrorism, and the older people WILL be killed because there is no way they can afford the money the terrorists are asking for. Tinubu must get them out.
Like me now, with all my experience, I don’t know why Nigerians are not doing anything about these kidnapped school children.
I’m confused, is it that they’ve been released & that info is one of the things I don’t know?
Have we forgotten or people are too posh to talk about it?
My hot take is that women like these are not rare at all. Most women are like this.
As men have insisted that cheating is their birthright, and “all men cheat”, women too have learnt to stay in relationships, but withdraw love.
Men think there is no consequence to infidelity because they watched their mothers stay with quiet compliance and without any fights or complaint, then still carry out their homely responsibilities.
The consequence was ‘love’. Your mothers did not love your fathers, and your wives will not love you.
Keep cheating ❤️
🚨The Current Normal in Nigeria
Imagine a mother watch her little daughter die of hunger right in her arms after 76 days in captivity, right inside a country they call theirs 💔
This framing is disingenuous. Candidates for elective office are expected to appeal to every voting bloc.
The three NBA presidential candidates did not submit themselves to a democratic election process run by Egbe Amofin. They submitted themselves to the NBA’s own constitutional process, universal suffrage by electronic vote, open to every lawyer who has paid their dues.
What actually happened is that Egbe Amofin, having endorsed Akinboro as its consensus candidate last year, went to the Oyo State High Court in February 2026 and got an injunction barring the NBA from recognising or processing any nomination outside that endorsement. That was a despicable attempt to end universal suffrage for the NBA’s member lawyers.
Congrats to Akinboro if he truly speaks for Egbe Amofin. I am certain every other candidate has blocs of their own, and none of them has gone to court to shut down the ballot.
Mine, the non legal community and the unregistered association of data analysts, have endorsed @MrsBBold for president of the NBA. A reformer. A youth and women advocate. An ADR professional. A data champion.
I wholeheartedly endorse her candidacy and encourage every lawyer to break from the old way of doing things and cast their vote for her, democratically.
Huzzah!
Him being chosen is not his crime him trying to use the court through the Egbe Amofin to circumvent the democratic process and strong arm the NBA into imposing him was the problem and that should make every respectable lawyer in this country sick to their stomachs.
The 3 NBA presidential candidates willingly submitted themselves to a democratic process to be chosen by leaders of Egbe Amofin.
Rather than respecting the outcome, the unsuccessful candidates have chosen to push the narrative that the winner intends to end universal suffrage.
Even if I had any doubts about Mrs. B before today, her performance at the town hall meeting would have put them to rest. She was composed, well prepared and accountable. She apologised where necessary, answered questions directly and thoughtfully, and engaged everyone with respect. What stood out to me most was that she did all of this without taking jabs at any of her fellow candidates or speaking condescendingly to anyone who asked a question. Is she the most experienced candidate? No. But when has leadership ever been determined solely by who has the longest résumé? If mainstream politics has taught us anything, it is that experience alone does not guarantee competence, vision or good leadership. One thing I am convinced of is that Mrs. B SAN, if elected President of the Nigerian Bar Association, will be a President for every lawyer, whether you supported her or not. That came through clearly today. I saw no trace of spite, vindictiveness or the politics of exclusion. Instead, I saw someone who understands that leadership is about service.
I therefore implore others to join me in voting for Oyinkansola Badejo-Okusanya, SAN, for President of the Nigerian Bar Association on 20 July 2026. Be Bold. 💙
It's also interesting that no one is picking up on the fact that he could be broke but want to spend his last kobo on a date, just like me 🤣
That is also unhealthy! No àkójọ 🤣🤣
He shows his value by spending, she saves her money to feel value.
You guys are overreacting.
Dayo decided to play daddy to a student without means, a transactional dependency.
Then, when he was in need, he expected reciprocity NOT because she loved him but because he was her daddy that year.
You don't see how that's an issue?!
But she does, it's literally there. She mentioned that he will say he is broke but wants to go on a date the next day.
She is definitely anxious around such behaviour.
When Nigerians continue to memeify our problems, this is what happens. Keep making your jokes and skits and calling them “satire”. The people you are doing it for will satirize you back and in a crueler way.
