Has AGI really arrived, as Greg Brockman recently announced?
In my view, AGI has been lurking around for a while. We just didn’t have the right tools & tech readiness to really bring it to life. So it is not Astra that suddenly created AGI, but definitely brought us closer to it
@Franklin0653 I use AI a lot myself to challenge my thinking, sharpen an argument or simply find a better way to say something. But did scientists disclose using a calculator when coming up with a new mathematical theory?
The recent Stanley Druckenmiller AI story got me thinking. He admittedly used AI to help write an article, but based on his own thoughts, which raises an interesting question: should we disclose every time we leverage AI to write something?
It’s tempting to become lazy when using AI 🤓
But please don’t.
If you start with a vague question or ask, you’ll probably find yourself prompting again to add the more context.
You’ll get better results, create less AI slop, and use a little less compute along the way.
