Who you want to vote for is your business. I just wish everyone would stop pretending their candidate is perfect and any evidence to the contrary is fake.
@Scandalous@KingsleyCortes If you adjust the figures by proportion of population, the white vs non-white portion of your arguments falls. Perhaps a better way to ask /focus the question is whether anyone receiving any medical treatment that affects one’s mental state should be restricted from buy a gun.
@straczynski If you’re bitten by a monkey, what medicine do they give you? I just wanted you to get one question you probably haven’t been asked a hundred times.
@ObsidianUrbex Although there are alternative stories of origin, Labor Day is generally thought of as a day to recognize the Trade Union and Labor movements. Many businesses will close. TBH, many just think of it as the reason for a long weekend that signals the end of summer.
Being naturally shy and overly respectful, I've rarely imposed on the Group Mind. But if everyone who follows my work were to repost/retweet this thread to the farthest corners of the internet, amazing things would happen, and I would be greatly appreciative.
I once held a door open for a woman as I was entering a mall. She screamed quite a tirade at me saying she was a feminist and I had demeaned and insulted her because she could open the door for herself. I found that sad on several levels.
Being passionate for something…a cause or belief can be a great thing. Unfortunately things have become so ugly that people now focus their passions against people that have different views and see hatred as a justified virtue.
@FlinnShady @MarkGreaneyBook True, but that doesn’t dismiss the issue. Even if it’s only part time, *someone* should pay attention to how we pay the bills.
@ElizabethBanks I’m not agreeing with the idea of secession, but just as an mental exercise…should people/states be held in perpetuity to a vote taken hundreds of years ago? Didn’t the US cheer at the breakup of the USSR? How would this be different? Just curious as to people’s thoughts.
@Ellethevillain This is a sincere question… I have a lot of books and I seldom know or care whether an author is black, white, etc. Writers can publish as Indies freely, so isn’t the issue for ANY writer to get noticed? I’m not countering your statement…just trying to understand.
