@PhilDL616 I was thinking it might be the Hulk, since he might not have been included in the spell if Banner was himself? Steve is probably the correct response though.
@MeekPhill_ I was fine with Alonso leaving but Polanco never made sense. Stearns letting Alonso walk isn’t the issue, it was the plan in place to replace him. Contreras was out there to be had and during the offseason, the Mets were thought to have 1 of the deeper systems
@pladinosaur Yup. I had 0 issue with breaking up the group but didn’t understand the Polanco move. I wanted Contreras but I think Stearns tried to outthink the league with his 1B idea.
@DannyAbriano You called the off-season a “masterclass”. Those same pitchers you listed were on the roster when it was a “masterclass”. Hindsight is 20/20 I suppose
@ellesep I wouldn’t even plan on going tonight. No chance they play. There are flood warnings in parts of NJ right now, so that should let you know what we are expecting tonight.
@2_seamfastball Wouldn’t be shocked if they call the game soon, to be honest. The weather does not look great and my area of NJ is in flood watches all evening. No chance they play.
@johnsaponaro Honestly, this season doesn’t seem to be turning around, so now they need to start cutting some of the “fat” from the roster. Being up some of the kids and see what you have for 27 and going forward
@ernestdove I’ll keep watching because if the kids, Soto and Lindor but I just don’t see them rattling off a win streak like that. They can’t seem to put it all together at the same time and they keep showing us who they are.
@pick_six22 I teach in a middle school. Kids do this sort of thing all day long. Are you saying that one of them should lose their lives? Like, come on man.
@Lito_grimes They keep trying to tell us exactly who they are. We try to rationalize them being still “in it” but time and time again they show us exactly who they are. At least we can watch the kids, Lindor and Soto the rest of the way.
@2_seamfastball It’s time. He has no role and pitches scared. He treats every batter like Bonds nibbling corners and then has to throw a BP fastball for a strike. Bring up one of the kids and let him learn on the job.
@johnsaponaro Peterson pitches as if he’s scared to throw strikes and Baty is just useless. I thought he’d be a fine utility bench guy, but it’s time they both go.
@ernestdove I’m so tired of this rotation. Outside of McLean, and with Scott hurt, I can’t watch any of these guys. Absolutely pathetic the way Peterson pitches
