@1goodtern 👋🏻 Step-kid just got diagnosed with either asthma or atypical persistent pneumonia. Barking like a 60yr old smoker for over a year (since last suspected CoVid infection…. Their 3rd of 4 to date). Previously in reasonable health prior to 2022.

@1goodtern Among others… Spouse and step-child: Repeated infections. Several denied. Exhaustion. Cognitive impairment-memory and executive function issues.. Persistent nasty cough (going on a year). Yet both continue to dismiss mitigations. Breaks my heart.

@1goodtern For the record, it did not altar my consistent masking protocols. The comparative elevated infection risks from being unmasked versus contaminated mask spread were huge. #mask4life

@1goodtern I don’t have the link at present, but I recall study in GB centered exclusively around virus viability and contact surfaces. Memory says it was quite thourough and showed significant contact risk. Stands to reason that would include contaminated masks.

@1goodtern Yes. Partner has MS (mild thankfully). Does not mask regularly, and when they do it is cloth. Does not test regularly or adequately when infected. Engages in high risk activities (choirs). Has been infected twice with a highly suspect third instance. I just don’t understand…

@NeleHelena I tested positive for 14 days in May. Day 15 gave me a second negative to clear me from isolation.
