Nihad was born with a disability and cannot walk.
His wife, Zeina, lost her legs due to a medical error.
They have been displaced nine times and live in a tent, lacking basic necessities.
Their life is a struggle on one wheelchair.

After 20 years waiting for children, she lost her mobility and then her husband.
In the war, her daughter returned with two kids after losing her husband.
Today they all live in a tent, with no food, no medicine, and no provider.

With the crossings closed, people in Gaza are trapped against their will.
A patient who urgently needed to leave couldn’t and a student lost their scholarship because they couldn’t travel.
Even those who have all their papers ready are standing there, waiting for a gate to open.

We in Gaza are no longer asking for comfort… we just want to live with dignity and have someone listen to our voices before things get even worse.

Because there’s no diesel, many people now run their cars on cooking oil.
The smell is suffocating, and thick black smoke fills the streets.
The air has become heavier… and walking between the cars feels like breathing through a filter of smoke.

We light a fire to make tea or coffee,
but before the water even heats up,
the guest is already gone.
Even hospitality has become harder than it should be.

In Gaza, even showering has become a struggle.
The water is freezing, and there’s no gas or electricity to heat it.
People shower while shivering, and children cry from the cold.
But they have no choice… it’s the only way.
Even the simplest things in life have become a battle.

At night, the tents feel closer than everclose enough to hear everything.
The most painful sound is the crying of children from the cold.
Kids shivering, with thin clothes and no blankets to keep them warm.
People have no privacy, and every night feels like a new test of patience

– Because medicine is unavailable, or too expensive for them.
– And the children and patients?
– They suffer in silence, and no one can help them.
