🚨Thierry Henry on Argentina eliminating Egypt from the FIFA World Cup:
🗣️ “For me, this feels like football robbery in broad daylight.
I’m not taking anything away from Argentina’s quality because they have world-class players, but I don’t think they deserved to win this match. Egypt worked incredibly hard to build a two-goal lead. They defended with courage, attacked with confidence and earned every bit of that advantage.
The turning point, in my opinion, was the refereeing. I didn’t agree with the penalty that was awarded to Argentina earlier in the game, and after that it felt as though every important decision was going against Egypt. Whether people agree or disagree, those moments changed the rhythm of the match and gave Argentina the momentum they desperately needed.
Egypt will leave this tournament feeling heartbroken because they were so close to one of the greatest victories in their history. Sometimes football is decided by brilliant moments, and sometimes it’s decided by controversial decisions. Tonight, I believe the officiating will be discussed just as much as the football itself.”
50,000 people in Gaza are dead. 114,000 wounded. Two-thirds of the casualties are women, children, or elderly people. The entire infrastructure has been destroyed.
Much of that devastation has been done with U.S. bombs supplied to Netanyahu's war machine. We are complicit.
This video is so disturbing. I’ve always considered myself pro-Israel. But if that now means arresting, jailing, and deporting someone whose only “crime” we know of was writing a pro-Palestine op-ed, then count me out. I want nothing to do with that.
While filming today, @AlArabiya journalists were targeted by a #Hezbollah anti-tank guided missile on the #Syria-#Lebanon border.
At least x2 other ATGM strikes have taken place since -- on vehicles near the border.
"Look at this liar, Eli Cohen, who is joining the Iranian axis’s disinformation campaign. He used a photo of a child model from the internet and falsely claimed she was killed in Syria—this is among dozens of other misleading images. We reiterate that the Syrian Army leadership is holding accountable those responsible for violations during this battle. However, at the same time, dozens of security personnel and civilians are being killed every hour by this criminal group—remnants of the previous regime."

@SecRubio Mr. Secretary. Every Syrian condemns the killing of civilians. I wish you condemned the Assadists militia and armed groups who killed 200+ of the Syrian Army and security forces creating a state of chaos and instability. Syria needs your support , not only your fav separatists.
