The East African Physiology Quiz and Teaching Workshop started on 8 May 2026 at the University of Rwanda, Remera Campus, and will run until 10 May 2026.
The three-day event brings together participants from across East Africa to advance physiology education and strengthen regional collaboration in health sciences.
The event has attracted participants from leading universities in Rwanda, Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Ethiopia, and Sudan, fostering regional collaboration, scientific exchange, and student engagement in physiological sciences.
The East African Physiology Quiz and Teaching Workshop is supported by the University of Rwanda, the International Union of Physiological Sciences (IUPS), ADInstruments, LASEC, and the Rwanda Dental and Medical Students’ Society (RDMS).

The mark represents the average score of the 3 contestant from each University after negative marking.
Consequently, 10 Universities have qualified for the Semi-Final stage.
