Ozeki Kotozakura is kadoban, he needs a kachi-koshi to remain Ozeki.
Aonishiki is demoted to Sekiwake, he needs 10 wins to go back to the Ozeki rank.

Yoshinofuji debuts in San'yaku after 7 tournaments since he joined the Makuuchi division.

Onokatsu and Takerufuji go back to Makuuchi, Kazuma and Daiseizan join the top division.

The tournament will begin on July 12 and end on the 26th; it will be held at the IG Arena in Nagoya.

新小結の義ノ富士が師匠の伊勢ヶ濱親方と名古屋場所の伊勢ヶ濱部屋宿舎にて会見に臨みました。

新三役としての来場所への目標については、
「まずは勝ち越し、そして二桁、先場所届かなかった優勝を目指したい」と意気込みました。

師匠の伊勢ヶ濱親方は義ノ富士への期待について聞かれると、
「まだ安定感はないが、期待できる力士なので、これからも体を大きくして、稽古でどんどん鍛えて、次の番付を目指してほしい」と話しました。

名古屋場所で新十両に昇進した嵐富士とも番付をもって写真撮影を行いました。
