A Brahmin student being called a 'Pakistani' by Modi Bhakts shocked and rightfully hurt many people across ideological lines, including several from the Right Wing itself. Because suddenly, people realised how dehumanising that label is.
But for years now, countless Indian Muslims especially those who speak up or question the government or criticise the PM are casually branded 'Pakistanis' or 'Bangladeshis' or a 'Rohingya'.
Our loyalty is questioned, our identity is regularly mocked, our citizenship treated as conditional.
And the society has normalised it so much that most people don’t even react anymore.
An insult that rightfully outraged people when used against a Brahmin student is thrown at Muslims every single day without guilt or an outrage, or without any consequences. No Indian should have to constantly prove they belong to their own country.
All thanks to the Media and the Politicians for Normalising this Hate against Indian Muslims.

I would like to start by being categorically clear: Jeffrey Epstein was a paedophile, child rapist and sex offender of the worst kind. I have said this always, and I say this now. His victims deserve nothing but the full ferocity of justice for what they suffered.

Clips from my show, selectively edited to suggest me implying anything else, have caused dismay. While this is categorically false and not remotely what I meant to convey in the flow of a TV debate, I can see why those clips have triggered many. For this, I sincerely regret any misunderstanding.

As a woman who takes a very clear view on sexual crimes, I stand unequivocally with those affected.

US trade deal के नाम पर हम भारत के किसानों के साथ विश्वासघात होते हुए देख रहे हैं।

मैं प्रधानमंत्री से कुछ आसान सवाल पूछना चाहता हूं:

1. DDG import करने का वास्तव में क्या मतलब है? क्या इसका मतलब यह है कि भारतीय मवेशियों को GM अमेरिकी मक्का से बने distillers grain खिलाए जाएंगे? क्या इससे हमारे दूध उत्पाद प्रभावी रूप से अमेरिकी कृषि उद्योग पर निर्भर नहीं हो जाएंगे?

2. अगर हम GM सोया तेल के आयात की अनुमति देते हैं, तो मध्य प्रदेश, महाराष्ट्र, राजस्थान और देशभर के हमारे सोया किसानों का क्या होगा? वे एक और कीमतों का झटका कैसे झेल पाएंगे?

3. जब आप “additional products” कहते हैं, तो उसमें क्या-क्या शामिल है? क्या यह समय के साथ दाल और अन्य फसलों को अमेरिकी आयात के लिए खोलने के दबाव का संकेत है?

4. “Non-trade barriers” हटाने का क्या मतलब है? क्या भविष्य में भारत पर GM फसलों पर अपने रुख को ढीला करने, procurement को कमजोर करने या MSP और bonuses को कम करने का दबाव डाला जाएगा?

5. एक बार यह दरवाज़ा खुल गया, तो हर साल इसे और ज़्यादा खुलने से हम कैसे रोकेंगे? क्या इसकी रोकथाम होगी, या हर बार सौदे में धीरे-धीरे और भी फसलों को मेज़ पर रख दिया जाएगा?

किसानों को ये सफ़ाई तो मिलनी ही चाहिए।

यह सिर्फ आज की बात नहीं है। ये भविष्य की भी बात है - क्या हम किसी दूसरे देश को भारत की कृषि उद्योग पर लंबे समय की पकड़ बनाने दे रहे हैं।

Shubham Tiwari, driving a SUV landed in a pond while trying to save a kid on the road in UP's Pilibhit. In a daring rescue, Faizal on a boat put his life on the line and showed exemplary courage to save Tiwari drowing with the SUV. The victim was finally rescued and extricated out of the pond.
