We have paid the required pension contribution set by the government for the generation preceding us. This is a pension payment by us, we have not paid nothing, which is what your position infers.

Switched on 'Live at the Apollo' on BBC Two. First time I've watched it in ages.

Saw the female host give some sort of political lecture about LGBT rights (how original) and then joke about performing gay sex in front of her kids (how amusing).

Then a male performer started talking about how 'liberal' he was, especially when it came to gender identity. 'It's ridiculous in this day and age that it's even an argument ... If you were born as a man, you can identify as a woman' etc etc.

Just a typical exercise in BBC liberal social activism. Like Japanese knotweed, it has colonised every part of the corporation's output - even traditional stand-up comedy shows.

Do they not realise how tedious this stuff has become for a large part of the population? No wonder so many people think the licence fee should be scrapped.

Dear @Sainsburys,
Thanks very much for sending the bonus Nectar points coupons. You must have noticed that our monthly spend with #Sainsburys has dropped significantly, as we now food shop, away from Sainsburys, High Wycombe ‘superstore’.
#Sainsburys on-floor staff were always helpful and friendly and the shelves were mostly full but we simply had had enough, because:
#Sainsburys closed the café;
#Sainsburys closed the male and female toilets – just imagine that, in a ‘superstore’;
One of the two lifts from the car park was nearly always shut down. Sometimes both lifts were;
The same applied to the travelators. Mainly the ‘up’ one broke down, that's the one to take the laden trolleys back to the car park.
Some trolleys required a £1 coin to free it, others of the same style and size, didn’t. This meant searching the parked trolleys to find one that had the tool available to recover our £1. It was often a long search to most of the trolley drop-off points in the car park – very frustrating.
It took #Sainsburys years to clear the pigeon poop that had built up by the entrance to the lift hall from the car park; it was a pretty unpleasant sight, in addition to the hygiene issue.
