@MissIgraine@danaparish ChatGPT, Google search results, Reddit history… all things that aren’t 100% private but no way would I let HR look over my shoulder onto my personal device during an interview.
@theotricality There’s a tablet on the table behind them, you can see the screen glowing. If it’s a place like Olive Garden there are games on it. Not helpful if you are trying to keep your kid from screens!
@axios@hollyotterbein Democrats who live in PA don’t think it will tear anything apart. Fetterman has barely any support left from people who voted for him.
@arne__ness It’s 2 generations totally ruined by smartphones. Parents in their 40s-50s acting like this and then their teenagers absorbing the neurotic behavior.
@asthasr@AlisonSomin My 5 y/o was quietly playing Legos by herself while I got her books like 20 feet away. She came running out crying after the librarian told her she wasn’t allowed in there without a parent, and felt like she was in trouble. Just unnecessary.
@mkhammer 0% of the parents tracking their kids today had their own lives tracked as teenagers. It's sad that a whole generation of new parents suddenly decided to do this. It also makes the kids more fearful of the world when parents tell them "I have to track you or you won't be safe."
@emmcooper42 It sounds like a lot but I don't have cable and was paying $80+ for YouTube TV or Hulu to watch Phillies games up until now! This is a good alternative if you don't have cable.
@FreeRangeKids This is pretty normal in apps used by daycares. It's info you want to see when you have a baby and you know their diapers are being changed, and helpful when you have a toddler potty training. Continuing into pre-k age is not necessary but teachers are used to doing it.
@AkilahObviously It's freeing to realize we don't have to listen to these people, they're usually so wrong. Very few people want smart glasses and AI bullshit to replace how they've always gone about life. He doesn't live in reality.
@NPRinskeep People expect news articles to magically appear in front of their eyes. If you want to read the news, you have to you know, go to a news site like a big boy.
@realgirl_fieri My friend's cousin said she and her husband were going to travel across Europe with the baby since they both had 4 months of parental leave. They did not end doing that.
@ashleyrcarman I imagine you could write an article about most businesses where the employees have complaints, don't agree with the owners all of the time, and resent that they have more money than you.
