my great grandmother survived the armenian genocide, but her family did not. she was not an orphan before 1915, but after having to watch her family be burned alive, she, a 16 year old girl, had to survive on her own.
3 years ago today, Azerbaijan launched an offensive that would lead to the forced displacement of the Armenians from Nagorno-Karabakh (Artsakh). Today in Goris I met a man who may no longer be on his ancestral land, but nevertheless keeps it with him…resilience takes many forms.
This is extremely disturbing. Watching two Americans adoring a fascist racist dictator who oppresses his own people and commits ethnic cleaning against Armenians. We need to spend more on education in the US so turds like these don’t exist
Armenians of Artsakh undergoing ethnic cleansing via blockade by the regime in Azerbaijan. Crazy how a population of 120k people are going through a literal ethnic cleaning by a well known dictatorship in complete silence.
Invite your non-Armenian friends tomorrow!! Many, many years ago, I was invited to a march and I literally had no idea what it was about but being surrounded by so much passion, dedication, and emotion really inspired me to educate myself about the Armenian Genocide
Armenia is the voice of freedom for the region. Persecuted Yazidis and Assyrians find shelter in Armenia. Soon, the ethnic minorities of Azerbaijan will realize that their rights are taken from them, and they will know where to find safety.
The United States has a moral obligation to itself to recognize the Armenian Genocide. To acknowledge history and condemn genocide — is not a favor to anyone.
