@hbottemiller@TamarHaspel @waiterich @KennyTorrella@foodfixco Yes and no. The kerfuffle is far from existential in The Big Scheme of Appeal and Revenues, but huge to the question of What a Food Is and What a Food Isn't, which is critical to defining the future. The plant-based fight now is the lab-based fight soon, and dairy thinks ahead.
@HRBlockAnswers Someone needs to call or e-mail me. You are not going to solve a problem in one tweet that your staff has been unable to solve in now 6.5 hours.
Finally, @US_FDA is acknowledging the confusion over #fakemilk nutrition and offering guidance. But the agency's decades of inaction on #dairy labeling can't be forgotten. We'll keep working for full #plantbased transparency. https://t.co/LnLOdgwPqo
@salmonpolka@mviitanen@TamarHaspel I work for the dairy industry. Here's our petition on the use of dairy terms. https://t.co/woRc4iK02u You can read the position, or ignore it to communicate misinformation. Your choice.
@eroston I think about how people then wouldn't have seen Hitler as "Hitler" the way we do. Hitler ca. late 1930s was a grievance-driven land-grabber who preached ethnic superiority and denied others' right to national existence. But no Holocaust or World War yet. How is Putin different?
@eroston "Freedom from Fear," by David Kennedy. Doing fine, slowly working through the Oxford Histories of the United States, out of sequence. Started with Reconstruction, went to WWII, now I'm in the Monroe Administration. The idiocy of the past is strangely comforting right now.
@eroston Interestingly, I was recently reading a WWII history that noted major resistance to coastal air-raid blackouts at the time. Chambers of commerce, esp. in Florida, feared lost tourism dollars and didn't believe blackouts really worked. Even U-Boat attacks didn't end skepticism.
“To break through the noise and succeed, we have to work toward common goals,” said NMPF’s @alanbjerga. In 2021, everyone is a communicator, and #farmers are the best #dairy messengers. #EveryDropCounts21
NMPF Senior VP for Communications @alanbjerga discusses dairy's upcoming joint annual meeting on @OfficialRFDTV . Much to celebrate, and challenges ahead, as #dairy makes sure that #everydropcounts21. https://t.co/9pVzpjmP2d
@MegRaeB Sorry to hear this, Megan, but just know this: Your 30s will be a wonderful time. Life keeps changing, but you can gain some peace at 30. Enjoy it!
Decisions that we make now on vaccinations can help ensure the months and years ahead are much brighter. #WeCanDoThis@FarmBureau https://t.co/CVHxWSBGAj
@climbing_yoongi@butterinstitute@BTS_twt That usually comes out in mid-September, but that will be for 2020, which is just an outlier year. 2021 numbers won't be out until 2022, given that 2021 isn't over yet.
