Fair question. I would acknowledge it as a miss not to honor those who gave their lives in service of our nation. I would not bow to the pressure to put a flag up though.I would also ask whether it being Pentecost Sunday was less of a priority to them than a national holiday?
“I will bless you and make you a blessing.” (Gen 12:2, Heb 6:4) It seems relatively easy for God to bless us, because it depends only on Him. Biblical history tells us that it is harder for God to make us a blessing, because it depends on our willingness to cooperate with Him.
For a host of reasons, I strongly suspect a very significant amount of claimed “alien” encounters are demonic. There is simply more smoke around that correlation than can be without fire.
Some outlandish claims about aliens/UFOs are being made right now. Practice discernment, stay prayed up.
🚨 OFFICIAL: Arsenal reach the Champions League final as UNBEATEN in the competition.
🏟️ 14 games.
🧱 9 clean sheets.
🤯 6 goals conceded.
Fantastic job by Mikel Arteta and his team.
Are they lying? No.
But there is one reality nobody talks about. When you send 65 people, there are a bunch of their less committed friends that don’t go with them, and just stop going to church altogether because they miss their friends.
Don’t underestimate this. 2/2
I sat with a multiplying church’s lead team recently. I asked the newest church leader, “How many people were sent with you for your plant?” He said, “About 65.” I asked the leader of the sending church.”How many did you send? “ He replied, “About 100.”
It’s always like this!1/2
BOOM! City choke.
BOOM! Everton stand tall.
BOOM! Arsenal 5pts clear.
BOOM! Last 3 games all in London.
BOOM! It’s in our hands.
Take us home, @m8arteta 👊
But the Church in Acts fought for family by meeting house to house, breaking bread with gladness and sincerity. (Acts 2:42) They grew small as they grew big, enjoying great health and strength. If you have no faith for this, I understand. But best not to moralize your choice. 4/5
Many rejoiced, but some said, “This church no longer feels like a family.”
When I inquired if they were part of a small group, all said they had stopped being part of a small group in the past 3 years. They said the Sunday gathering no longer felt like family. I empathize. 3/5
