🚪Two doors. Two futures. Only one real option.
Today in Westminster, we came together with @Shelter, @natfednews and more in solidarity to show the government what's at stake at next week’s Spending Review.
🇬🇧 @DavidLammy, thank you for championing a pause on #DeepSeaMining at the @ISBAHQ. For people and planet, I urge you to stand firm in this position and keep opposing this destructive industry before it begins. #DefendTheDeep https://t.co/Y6vAzZbtYB
@SteveReedMP@DefraGovUK now’s your chance to be an environmental champion - the UK public wants you to cut plastic pollution and push for an ambitious Global Plastics Treaty
@ProcterGamble 📣 can’t believe it’s 2023 and we still need to talk about #conflictpalmoil – clean up your supply chain and drop dirty suppliers like RGE now! https://t.co/3C7Z4AHhJT
@dave43law How long before he and his cronies suggest "let them eat cake"? At least it's tastier than the turnips suggested by the Minster for turd distribution.
@wokinglass No - never too late to learn the simple principle I adopted in the Thatcher era.... "Never trust a Tory" and in later life better still to avoid any discourse with one if at all possible.
@Linda_as_was Big changes with butter - 500g pack shrunk to 400g. 20% less product but price unchanged - shrinkflation boom! Acceptable if it's not going to fudge inflation figures but I agree it seems unfair - maybe it is an intentional UK wide weight-loss program?
@JMoncktonSmith Lazy, shoddy journalism that is insulting to the efforts of so many trying, like yourself, to educate society about the insidiousness and ultimate cost of coercive control.
@Unilever must stop buying conflict palm oil and suspend AAL - a company accused of violent land-grabbing and criminalising environmental defenders! Join me in demanding justice for affected communities in Indonesia. Sign the @friends_earth petition now👇 https://t.co/LeRKGXpU8J
@Feargal_Sharkey Yep, it'll be usual smoke & mirrors i.e. redirecting the pitiful amount spent on infrastructure to firefight but of course ensuring real terms bonuses and dividends are unaffected. Agreeing on fines to be increased to £100million ... no hope!
@Otto_English One could never leave the house for fear of having the proverbial taken out of one. Shopping in our quaint fishing village of Birkenhead, nestled on the banks of the Mersey, would be an ordeal.
@EveryCountry You'll need a second bottle I guess if the Lib Dems overtake them in the total number of English Councils held: 4 behind with 8 to play... a long shot but on a day like today?
@Tog4ShortLives@DHSCgovuk@SkyNews@NHSEngland Government minsters must commit to maintaining and centrally-distributing the Hospice Grant beyond 2023/24. To not do so would put unbearable pressure on parents and their support - those who already carry such a heavy and heart-wrenching burden.
