Companies that print banknotes are a quiet constituency with a vested interest in keeping cash alive. The world’s leading banknote printer—the Lausanne-based Koenig & Bauer (K&B) Banknote Solutions (a subsidiary of the German Koenig & Bauer)—shares the good news that not only is the banknote “still alive and well,” but production is increasing by 2% to 3% every year. One key reason, as K&B Banknote Solutions understatedly summarizes, is that cash offers “unparalleled security in contrast to the need for the protection of data collected by digital actors and their sometimes questionable use.”

Not to take anything away from Elon Musk’s financial achievement, but understanding the difference between sovereign wealth and subordinated wealth is useful when saying that he has become the world’s first trillionaire.

People see Forbes rankings and think that’s where the real money is.

The House of Saud, Abu Dhabi’s Al Nahyan family, Qatar’s Al Thani family, the Rothschilds, the Rockefellers, sovereign wealth families, and the broader financial-industrial complex have spent generations building influence over capital, banking, energy, debt markets, institutions, and the rules of settlement itself.

Most billionaire wealth is marked-to-market. It is a quoted value based on public company shares, liquidity, credit conditions, lenders, institutional shareholders, asset managers, and collateral rules.

Direct control of wealth is different.

Much of the world’s wealth is not publicly visible.

Private companies, trusts, foundations, sovereign entities, and offshore structures rarely appear on rich lists.

Privacy, control, and asset protection are features of wealth preservation, not bugs.

You’re a trillionaire when you can send a trillion dollars of Bitcoin in a single transaction (and nobody in the world can do that yet), or load a trillion dollars of gold onto a ship in your name and move it without permission.

Everything else is subordinate to someone else’s balance sheet, rules, and approval.

Visible wealth and actual financial power are not the same thing.

I encourage sovereign wealth over subordinated wealth.

Only sovereign wealth is true freedom.

A proposed data centre in the Scottish Borders has been described by local communities as a "monster" which would drain "the life and beauty from the landscape".

All over the UK these energy and water guzzling monstrosities are being developed in scenic rural areas. No one voted for this.

There are currently over 500 active data centres in the UK, making it the largest data centre market in Western Europe and the third largest globally - putting huge strain on the UK’s energy and water supply. And meanwhile, we are told to stop using hosepipes and to turn the lights out.

🇦🇷 Peter Thiel has temporarily relocated his family to Argentina, purchased a $12 million mansion in one of Buenos Aires’ most exclusive neighborhoods, and enrolled his children in local schools.

🇺🇸 When a state like California starts introducing a wealth tax, it is not because politicians are socialist or stupid.

It’s because they want to drive out the wealthy on purpose and reduce the tax base, deliberately asset-stripping the state for private institutional ownership that can use the tax code to secure exemptions and advantages.

It’s not because politicians are stupid.

It’s not because they are radical left-wing communists.

That’s the narrative that keeps you locked into the belief that the left has the back of the poor, while the right gets to point at the left when the state goes to shit.

At the same time, they install a police and surveillance system that benefits the technological-industrial complex powered by Palantir.

It’s a business model.

Anywhere you see a wealth tax, it’s an end-game asset-stripping exercise that gives more power to the wealthy, not less.

They are not coming after billionaires.

They are transferring wealth to billionaires.

By design.

ALL POLITICIANS WORK FOR THEIR CORPORATE LOBBIES.

Stop believing in left-versus-right politics.

It’s a distraction from the reality that you vote with your money.
