वैष्णव एकादशी आज त्रिस्पर्शा है !

सूर्योदय से लगभग 1 घंटे तक एकादशी उसके पश्चात द्वादशी तिथि प्रारम्भ और कल सूर्योदय से पहले ही द्वादशी की समाप्ति और त्रयोदशी का प्रारम्भ अर्थात द्वादशी का क्षय ।

राजा अम्बरीष पता है न ? या बस हैलोवीन ही चल रहा है ?

वैसे मैं के रिया था, अनन्त काल से प्रतिदिन सायं संध्या में अस्ताचलगामी सूर्य को ही अर्घ्य दिया जाता है । यह प्रत्येक द्विज के कर��ीय कार्यों में से है, किसी क्षेत्र विशेष के लिए नहीं ।

एकमात्र छठ पर्व पर ही अस्त हो रहे सूर्य को अर्घ्य नहीं देते ।

खचर शब्द के विभिन्न अर्थ लिए हुए श्लोक -

खचरस्य सुतस्य सुतः खचरः।
खचरी जननी, न पिता खचरः।
खचरेण सुतेन हतो खचरः।
खचरी परिरोदिति हा खचर:!
खचर: क्व गतः, क्व गतो खचर:।।

खचरस्य (पवनस्य) सुतस्य (भीमस्य) सुतः खचरः (राक्षसः घटोत्कचः इति) ।

उसकी माता खचरी अर्थात् राक्षसी है, लेकिन पिता खचर अर्थात् राक्षस नहीं है । खचर (आकाश में घूमने वाला अर्थात् सूर्य) के पुत्र (कर्ण) के द्वारा खचर अर्थात् राक्षस घटोत्कच को मारा गया । तब खचरी अर्थात् हिडिंबा राक्षसी रोती है - हा खचर (घटोत्कच) ! घटोत्कच कहाँ गया, घटोत्कच कहाँ गया !!
