@HoppyKercheval We have fought for this for years. WV needs to catch up with the rest of the nation. If the board of education and public schools do not want our children on their teams, then they need to refund that portion of our property taxes and drop any oversight of homeschool students.
@wolfie4wvu @HoppyKercheval Classes and extracurriculars are 2 different things. It's not that school isn't "good enough"; some children have different educational needs, but could benefit from participation in a school team. There are not plenty of club/travel teams. Know that from personal experience.
@gwcoachlewis @HoppyKercheval WV is one of the few states that does not allow students from a DISTRICT to play for the local team in that DISTRICT. It has more to do with providing opportunities for students who may have other needs that can be better met at home than in the school institution.
