@ianscanlon3@smiffy2609 Think you mean Shred. I went on his coaches to the away matches around that time. Those were the days. Not great football but great days out with plenty of beers with mates ๐. A true Ledgend
@AndrewKenyon6@The_Bladesman I was there too on the Ellersilie Road stand in the middle of all the QPR fans. Don't ask me how that happened. Too many beers as I remember? What a goal! And survival was confirmed. Happy days ๐
@SheffUnitedWay Paul McGrath. Best CH in my time, be it a short time due to injuries. All on walking, never mind running, but just read the game like no other player I've seen at the Lane. Privilege to watch.
@SheffUnitedWay 9 - 10. Best performance of the season. The only complaint is the amount of people leaving with 10 minutes to go when we're looking to score more goals. DGI. Also, players at the end need to start the walk round the pitch quicker so fans don't leave fed up of waiting to applaud
@NatSufc99 @AllThingsBlades Said it before knocking the kop down and rebuilding with a rear central safe standing section. It will create a more away match feel to the home games as fans at away games usually stand all the game and generally create a great atmosphere.
@dazcadwallander@SheffieldUnited No disrespect, but leave it with John Denver. It's a classic individual anthem for the Blades, and all the other teams know that. The thing is, I didn't like it at first, but it gets under your skin when you hear it before the games.
@nrkemp @SheffieldUnited I was there too. The away fans in them days were slightly mad, including me, but we had some great days on Shred tours. Had to be mad to keep going, I suppose. RIP Reg
@secondtierpod Kop needs raising to the ground and a new stand built with decent facilities and safe standing to help generate a decent atmosphere. Apart from that it's OK. Kop season ticket holder
@SheffUnitedWay Queuing at the Lane shop when he resigned in 2011 to get my sons shirt signed. Thing was it was a school day so he didn't go with me. So I queued on my own. Beatts did give me a strange look when he signed the shirt for a 50 + year old bloke ๐คฃ
@The_Bladesman Could be worse. However, If they wanted to replicate the 93 kit then replicate it with a modern edge to the original design with the sash. Also that shirt was predominantly navy with green and purple. Classic kit. Still got it and wore it at the FA cup semi final
@SheffUnitedWay A legend in his own time. Loved the away days especially in that London when the coach/s used to park at the side of St Pancres to pick up us up at the end of the night generally wasted by that time. Happy Days...
