@bicycle_network You cannot support mandatory bike helmets and be an advocate for cycling. Helmet laws blame the victims of poor road design and bad driving. If you are only doing this for the funding you may as well be a Government Department.

Three years wasted on this dinosaur organisation. They have returned to supporting anti-cycling legislation, putting them at odds with every international best practice advocacy. I wish I could say something more positive about @bicycle_network but I can't.

I've been a member of @bicycle_network since they started supporting helmet law reform & I've supported & promoted them in my advocacy. No longer. They've backtracked & now support that anti-cyclist law that discourages cycling. They told me their support was costing them $s (no evidence provided) and it was their "fiduciary duty" to members to switch. The last time I heard that language was when the CEO of Siemens justified selling rail signalling gear to the Adani Galilee coal mine https://t.co/5v92k3928W
So BN's revenue is more important to them than getting more people riding.

Best thing about private practice is I don’t wear a mask to see patients anymore and haven’t done for quite some time. What’s the end point for the public hospitals that still require masks? They are not, and never have been, a cost neutral intervention.
