@TheHardCompound The pattern seems to be that we usually go into new venues with negativity, until we actually go there and the sport thrives on the back of it. Madrid is a great city and will fit well with F1 fans.

@AlexBauerF1 Thank you Alexandra! For a change, I wasn’t driving around Nardo circuit with AMG on my birthday. On my way there now, to see if they’ve got me something nice for my birthday 😬
@torito_cat With an incident like this, Enzo was likely to be the more vulnerable driver, or to have time-critical injuries. It’s an educated guess, based on what we know about the car design and previous accidents. I figured Ian needed to be closest to Enzo first.
@EmmanuelTouzot@virtualstatman How can there be consensus if we haven’t actually seen this wave yet? Excess mortality is trending above 5-year averages in many countries, so as an overall outcome, the jury is still out on how well we’re going to do.
@virtualstatman I also think that yourself, Darren, and I are on the same side, and that we measure ‘success’ by very similar metrics. Can we say the same of the people that we assume/hope are our brightest and most qualified advisors?
@virtualstatman From listening to the best and most qualified that I know, there are more questions currently than answers. These people are not being consulted, as their opinions don’t live at either extreme of the argument, and their answers don’t present an easy solution/soundbite.
