You know this is an absolute disgrace. #SW13#barnes#barnescommon#communitybleuscapes A few years ago #fobc dug a reed bed on Barnes Common. But then they fenced it off, because dogs were upsetting the warblers. But it was their reedbed, their warblers and their problem.
Now MH admits they have no plans to remove the fences. And we can't even see the reedbeds which are being swallowed up with processional growth.
Remember "the commons were made for man not man for the commons".
@Matt_Pinner Yes all 20, easy. When i first send a fax you called the recipient and spoke to them. Would you send it on 4 minutes of 6 minutes? They then fitted in paper, you had yours in place and then you said I'm sending it NOW and you both pressed your own button.
So #barnessw13
Community Bluescapes continue to tell lies about their plan to dig up Barnes Green to divert Beverley Brook. This will not "reverse changes made in the 19th century, which saw the Brook straightened". The Rourke map from 1740s shows the same course as now.
Why does it irritate me when in a pub I say "could I have a pint of [whatever]" and the staff reply "of course you can." Careful linguistic analysis though shows that what I REALLY said was "get me a pint and make it snappy", so the only correct answer is "yes sir".
