🚨 BREAKING: New wildfire burning near Tanner Park in the Salt Lake Valley 🚨

A new grass fire, now named the Millcreek Fire, is burning near Tanner Park in the Salt Lake City/Millcreek area, close to the mouth of Parleys Canyon.

Fire crews arriving on scene estimate the fire at about 1 acre, with flames spreading at a moderate rate through light, flashy fuels.

Additional resources are already being requested, including:
2 Type 6 brush trucks
1 Type 1 structure engine
Utah Highway Patrol for traffic control

This is a developing situation, and we’ll continue to provide updates as more information becomes available.
