This is why we catch the ball above our head when we get a pop up! Eventually, if we catch the ball this low, our eyes have to come off the ball at one point!

I try to get players to understand this. Speed of runners on base, and 2 ?’s: what am I going to do when the ball is hit to me, and what am I going to do when the ball isn’t hit to me! Kike does a great job of this here, fast guy on 3rd, slow guy on. Knows what he’s going to do.
