Interesting discussion w/lawmakers from the states about their consumer costs. Every state is combating affordability issues though AK is more acute. #akleg
Pope Leo XIV called for robust regulation of artificial intelligence and for its developers to work for the common good rather than profit, issuing a sweeping manifesto on safeguarding humankind as the technology impacts everything from work to war. https://t.co/VSlFOkxhry
This is amazing history. Stew Rothman did some of my first photos for when I ran for office at 24 and then was a voice on one of my first radio commercials! Legendary! #akleg
1970 KTVF footage of Great Tanana River Raft Race (aka Raft Classic), of drunk people with homemade rafts slowly racing from Fairbanks to Nenana. It was canceled after two teens drowned in 1971, then restarted in 1982 and ran through 1992. #alaskahistory#alaska
@AK4SB It has been pretty interesting that legislators have debated whether it should be a 6-cent or possibly 25-cent/MCF volumetric tax. I don't even know if a volumetric tax is the right way to go yet.
It should be stated that the Senate only got the AKLNG tax cuts in the last two months of a two year session. The last pipeline with @exxonmobil and @conocophillips took more than two years. #akleg
The Alaska Legislature kicked off a special session Thursday to continue working on a key priority of Gov. Mike Dunleavy that didn’t pass in the 121-day regular session: tax cuts for the Alaska LNG project.

Sine Die in the Senate. Motion sheet for Lyman Hoffman who has been here for twice as long as me! I don't know how he gets this stamina after four decades! #akleg@alaska_senate
Yes. Very disappointing. It was a bill with hundreds of hearings and 20 years worth of study just to be vetoed. The Senate has only had the AKLNG bill for 2 months and the Governor wants us to pass it. #akleg
The Alaska State Legislature gathered this afternoon in a joint session for an override vote on Governor Dunleavy's veto of HB78, the public pension bill. All House Majority members voted to override the veto, but the override failed, 33-27. 40 votes were needed.

@alaskalandmine Some have been through AGIA and then the All Alaska Pipeline and SB138. Each has promised to be the best last chance for a natural gasline for Alaskans.
@alaskalandmine It is actually bound to be on the floor if there is enough support. It will be a very fast debate-hopefully. Tick tick! Day 115! #akleg
