Crazy that we hear about Train Drivers who get £60,000 a year for driving a train.
But we never hear about the boss of Tesco who gets £30,000 a day and doesn't even pay tax in the UK.
Or the £250m a day that the likes of Amazon, Vodafone, BP and Shell don't pay in tax.
It was terrible Mr Vice President what happened. And lessons will be learned. But here’s a thought - maybe concentrate instead on why 44000 Americans died last year from gun related deaths, and what can be done about your dreadful disease before you start lecturing others
@gamray The reasons for liver transplant are complex. Alcohol, I’m sure, will have played a part but many people are heavy drinkers their whole life and never get to end stage liver failure. Unless you’re a hepatology specialist, I wouldn’t cast judgement.
@johnpringdns And in all of this, absolutely no criticism of the DWP. Its system, its processes. It’s outsourcing of assessments which is pretty shambolic. The fact it sends so many unnecessary letters out. How much does all that cost, I wonder.
@DHartley23404 Wow, all the hepatology specialists out in full force. Liver Cirrohsis is very complicated. It may have been a combination of factors that led to his transplant, not just alcohol.
