That place where you find a lot of self-appointed, freelance 'experts' & commentators on everything, roaming to and fro seeking to impose their opinions on any issue, a lot of which doesn't really concern them.
@OurFavOnlineDoc It's legal as electricity generation, transmission and distribution is now off the exclusive list. You can sell power but be sure to pay taxes to avoid govt palava
@Denisfixit@General_Somto The best solution was to man up to his mistakes and ready to go to jail for inability to pay his debts instead of choosing the easy way out.
@Toptus04@egi_nupe@Nnamdibiggie Probably chipped in the info with local dialect during the conversation with her relatives absent indigenes who could be identified by her while calling
@ManlikeDcee Additionally you never hear noise from Muslims with their voluntary fasts especially mon & Thursdays, shitta shawwal etc same as many xtian voluntary fasts are observed without fanfare
@ManlikeDcee In my opinion, Ramadan fast is obligatory and one of the pillars of faith and there is no able Muslim permitted to skip it therefore there is no way to keep it quiet being done simultaneously in Muslim communities globally.
However the lent isn't generally fasted by all xtians
@EngrAbdoulaye @Imranmuhdz Same farouk Ahmed as a regulator who alleged that Dangote pms sulphur content was above imported pms
Same person who overlooked the importation substandard of pms that damaged people's vehicles.

The Streaming Wars are officially over. Netflix just won. The $83B acquisition of Warner Bros. isn't just a merger; it is the total capitulation of legacy media to the tech-native model. We are witnessing the most significant consolidation of entertainment IP in history. Here’s the breakdown of what this means for the industry, competitors, and us:
1. The "Forever Library" Strategy
Netflix has spent a decade burning cash to build its own IP (Stranger Things, Squid Game). It worked, but it was expensive. By buying WB, they instantly inherit the "Crown Jewels" of western culture:
* Harry Potter
* Game of Thrones
* DC Universe (Batman, Superman)
* Friends
* The entire HBO Prestige catalog
Netflix no longer needs to rent culture. They now own the history of cinema.
2. The Death of the "Bundled" Studio.
Note the structure of the deal: Netflix is taking the studios and HBO, but spinning off the linear cable networks (CNN, TNT, etc.) into "Discovery Global."
This is the final nail in the coffin for the cable model. Netflix explicitly said, "We want the premium IP, you can keep the dying linear ad revenue."
It is a ruthless cherry-picking of assets that leaves traditional cable networks isolated and vulnerable.
3. The Competitor Squeeze
* Disney: Now faces a competitor with equal legacy IP and superior tech distribution. The Magic Kingdom is suddenly on the defensive.
* Amazon/Apple: They have infinite money, but they lack the cultural cachet of the WB archive. They are now fighting a combined library that appeals to literally every demographic on earth.
4. The Regulatory Nightmare
Expect the FTC and EU regulators to go nuclear. This combines the largest paid subscriber base (300M+) with one of the largest content libraries. The antitrust hearings will be the biggest blockbuster of 2026.
The Bottom Line:
Netflix started as a mail-order DVD service that begged Blockbuster for a buyout.
Today, they bought the studio that invented the talkie. The "Netflix of Gaming" or "Netflix of Books" concepts are dead. There is only The Netflix.

@bossydimensions@manlikebrock@GossipMillNaija This doesn't still need to involve this level of force used by the police. If she's bold enough to sue npf authority and or get a human rights lawyer to represent her pro Bono, dem go surely chop some damages ontop police head.
@manlikebrock@GossipMillNaija This is a civil matter and not criminal offence, police shouldn't be aggressive like this in implementing an arrest. There was absolutely no reason to attempt to break the gate and eventually assault her after gaining access to the place.
