I have to tell you that reading this message made me happy in every sense of the word.
I was one of the children who spent time at Neverland, and I know exactly what I saw, what I experienced, and what I felt.
I never saw cruelty.
I never experienced pain.
I never saw fear.
What I experienced was happiness, joy, love, laughter, and emotions that I will carry in my heart for the rest of my life.
Your uncle was a very special person.
I remember the sleepovers in the teepee tents, when we would eat s'mores, sweets, and all those little treats that made us so happy.
I remember the evenings spent in the main bedroom, the one built on two levels that looked as if it had come straight out of a fairy tale.
At the end of the night, we were all exhausted. Some of us fell asleep on the bed, some on the couches, and some in the chairs.
And he would come around and tuck each one of us in.
I will never forget that.
I will never forget his kindness.
Whenever a child was sad, he was always the first to notice. He would immediately try to make that child smile, comfort them, and make them feel better.
He had an enormous heart.
That is why it hurts me to see everything that has been said about him over the years.
Because I was there.
I saw it.
I lived those moments.
And the person I knew bears no resemblance to the image that was presented to the world.
They tried to destroy him.
They tried to erase his humanity.
They tried to turn goodness into something else.
But no one will ever be able to erase what we lived and experienced.
I miss everything about him.
I miss his smile.
I miss his gentleness.
I miss his laughter.
I miss the way he could be a child right alongside us.
Because, deep down, that is who Michael was.
He was Peter Pan.
He was our friend.
Our confidant.
Someone who made us feel safe and loved.
Even today, I carry with me the values he taught us.
Kindness.
Respect.
Love for others.
If I am the woman I am today, part of that is because of him.
And for that, I will never be able to thank him enough.
Saying "thank you" will never be enough.
Because your uncle gave me much more than beautiful memories.
He gave me a second chance to see the world through love.
He taught me never to lose the best part of myself.
In a few days, I will be giving an interview.
I will speak.
I will tell what I experienced.
It will be difficult, but I will try.
Because I feel it is the right thing to do.
Because I feel we must continue telling the truth.
We must continue seeking justice for Michael.
He deserves it.
Because he dedicated his life to doing good.
And people like him are rare.
In fact, perhaps unique.
I have never met anyone like him.
And I probably never will again.
That is why I also want to thank you and your entire family.
You are a wonderful family.
And there will never be a day in my life when I stop carrying Michael in my heart.

Evan Chandler, el tipo que en 1993 usó a su hijo para acusar de abuso sexual y demandar a Michael Jackson con el fin de ganar dinero en un juicio civil (no penal, ya que en ese no ganaría), se suicidó cuatro meses después de la muerte de MJ.

Antes había intentado estrangular, apuñalar y matar con una mancuerna a su hijo porque éste, que ya era mayor de edad, no quería volver a verlo.

Tal vez no te enteraste porque los medios fueron muy sutiles al informar el final de ese psicópata, pero siempre es bueno recordar cómo llega el karma.
