I stood with renters at City Hall this week to call on the city and the provincial government to stand up for renters and affordable housing when their building is demolished and replaced with a condo. On Friday, City Hall will vote on Motion MM11.16 to give renters more financial assistance when they’re evicted from their home during construction so they afford to stay in their neighbourhood. This is about protecting our affordable market rentals, it’s about protecting renters from gentrification, and it’s about keeping our city affordable for everyone. #CommunityFirst #TenantRights #TorontoHousing\
