albanosphere refers to the global community of Albanian-speaking peoples; and nations where Albanians play a significant historical, political or cultural role.
miresëvini! welcome to the albanosphere!
albanosphere is a platform that is dedicated to documenting, analysing and contextualising historical and modern phenomena in the Albanian-speaking world.
It's finally here! The albanolibrary is an attempt to build a public e-library in the studies of Albanians. In this current version, there are nearly 700 documents for personal and non-commercial use.

Oh and she also told me that the most famous bakery chain in its area (Central Serbia) was owned by an Albanian family.
The Albanian grandfather opened the bakery around 1950 and since then his bakery and family have only prospered in the region.
@0asks@BesOaeneon Authors make very little from these books; most goes to the publishing houses. This is intended purely for personal use and not intended to infringe on anyone's personal intellectual property in any way. Nevertheless if an author contacts us to remove their work we will do so.
Whilst we have tried to be as comprehensive as possible, we are also keen on continually expanding and updating this library to reflect all aspects of Albanian identity and culture.

HISTORY OF THE ALBANIANS OF UKRAINE
#100DaysOfAlbanianHistory
The Ukrainian Albanians are a minority ethnic group in Ukraine. Historically, they call themselves "ga tantë" (from ours) and they speak a language "si neve" (like us).
@eshipoli Interesting, thank you for the clarification. Through my research, I was informed that it meant the latter.
I still haven't managed to find out why it is called that - the answer may lie in the Ottoman archives as it was originally under their control.
In 2019, @ukrainer produced a short documentary on the Albanians of Ukraine and their current situation. We hope that this thread can shed more light on this little-known community and help to provide the support they need!

The vast majority of Albanians in Ukraine practise Orthodoxy, though some instances of Catholicism have been reported. They still hold strong their Albanian language and traditions, and thanks to new Ukrainian law, the youth also have the ability to study Albanian in school.
