@Goldenberg1996@StasKazakov3@rostyslav999s@siddhantdas33@amitbhawani@elonmusk Man, I was arguing whether Telegram has worse privacy compared to Signal. Of course, you could buy a new phone, a fake phone number, a VPN, etc, and use any messenger whatsoever. I rather just use a completely free, open-source messenger such as Signal.
@LinuxForEverr@Goldenberg1996@rostyslav999s@siddhantdas33@amitbhawani@elonmusk and I advise you to look it up. Lastly, I would have turned your message into an example of an argument without any fallacies but it seems like everything in it falls into a fallacy and it has no actual point. I never said anything about WhatsApp nor do I use it. (4/4)
@LinuxForEverr@Goldenberg1996@rostyslav999s@siddhantdas33@amitbhawani@elonmusk What you seem to do a lot is name-calling. Name-calling falls into a form of Ad Hominem informal fallacy and it doesn't look too good for you (especially by using some 2019 year TikTok trends in an argument). Straw man fallacy seems to appear in your tweets quite often (3/4)
@rostyslav999s@Goldenberg1996@siddhantdas33@amitbhawani@elonmusk Well, isn't it weird that even Telegram says so in their privacy policy (https://t.co/T0tT3ay0KN 8.3. Law Enforcement Authorities)? I assume you believe that Telegram lies to you that they have worse privacy than what they do.
@Goldenberg1996@rostyslav999s@siddhantdas33@amitbhawani@elonmusk could have happened if you don't cooperate with the "democratic" Russia. But in the end, whatever you or I believe is just a belief. It shouldn't be a belief. The app should be open-source so we don't need to "guess" what is going on. This is where Telegram fails fundamentally.
@Goldenberg1996@rostyslav999s@siddhantdas33@amitbhawani@elonmusk Dude, what? The fact that there was a temporary block of Telegram and a completely unexpected unblock doesn't convince your point at all. Telegram cooperated with FSD and agreed to turn over its user's data if the FSD wants to. That is completely understandable considering what..
@muratheisen @rostyslav999s@siddhantdas33@amitbhawani@elonmusk Your argument is nonsense. Signal is completely open-source so you can actually go check that it isn't. Telegram server is closed source so you can't.
@_opensourced_@amitbhawani@elonmusk There are many issues with Telegram. Telegram's servers are closed source, it is founded by the same people as VK, it doesn't use e2ee by default, they lack transparency, and it is centralized. Signal is a decent app, but decentralized messengers are even better.
