It’s been almost a week and I still can’t wrap my head around this incident. Ball boys trying to steal a towel and assaulting an opposing player, and the referee doesn’t even bother stopping the match or intervening in any way.
Shocking.
Missing the World Cup for taking a stand ?
This is why I said the Senegalese President must intervene.
There are some World Cup teams now trying to eliminate a team much more threatening than Morocco in two ways.
1. They are just good enough to beat major contenders. That must be on the minds of many coaches and they don’t want to lose to Senegal.
2. They represent the idea of a black team from the part of Africa which is always laughed at and looked down upon breaking that perception that we cannot do well at the global level as a team.
The president of CAF must show his pan african credentials at this point.
a. To allow for the punishment of the Senegal coach at that level would be a travesty and a betrayal.
b. To additionally allow the Morocco team to face no consequences for the behaviour of their ball boys and players like Hakimi in particular about the seizure of towels.
You can’t be CAF President for Morocco, Egypt and Algeria. Patrice Motsepe is named after Patrice Lumumba, will he live up to the name or shame his namesake?
You have to also respond to major issues raised across the board about officials making calls that favoured Morocco which we saw in 4k video.
I just hope other African countries going to the World Cup stands by Senegal if FIFA tries to ban them from playing at the World Cup. When Argentina walked off the pitch in 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Brazil, they were not banned, they were just fined and that’s it.
Messi staged a walkout. What happened in the end? Was he fined? Was Argentina fined? Were they banned?
@CAF_Online, shame on you and everything you represent. You are a disgrace to Africa.
And as for you silly Nigerians that are hoping to get a slot to replace Senegal, especially that anywhere belle face they call @PoojaMedia, shame on you.
I hope PSV is aware that one of their players was doing security work at the 2025 AFCON.😂😂
Meet Ismael Saibari, a 24 year old Moroccan midfielder who plays for PSV.
He left the game he was supposed to play just to guard Mendy’s towel yesterday
If only they focused more on football and less on towels they might have ended their 50yr #AFCON2025 drought!!
Now those towels will be used to wipe their tears away!!
FOCUS!!
Getting a bullshit penalty, fucking it with a penenka & having ball boys assault the players over a towel and STILL playing victim is incredible behavior
